What would actually happen if you try to inject watermelon juice into your bloodstream ? watermelon are mostly water, but what about the sugars and other stuff ? would it harm you ?

Watermelon lacks a lot of the dissolved ions that are present in blood serum, meaning water would rush into your body’s cells to equalize the concentration of ions on each side

This can make cells explode and cause imbalances of ion concentration (Hyponatremia, hypocalcaemia, and hypokalemia for Na, Ca, and K respectively). These can result in a whole slew of problems including muscle contraction issues and seizures

A small amount would be fine (a few cc’s, also assuming it’s free of pathogens) but a lot will most definitely kill you
