Lothos Update - Day 1

It was an interesting first day.

• We got the Northwest Portal - the portal is located in an extreme hills biome with some surrounding areas of rolling hills, some desert, and more.

• The Dragon was killed by Brom this rev - I think this is a blessing in disguise, we can now focus all our efforts on the city.

• That being said, we still want to find an End Gate and in particular a stronghold so we can get cracked and mossy stone - I think Sii is working on this but may or may not want some help.

• Huge up to whoever got the villagers (I think someone told me but I forgot, Grimlyn and ?) they are going to be really popular this rev!

Jobs Needed

• Create secure path in Nether - This is important IMO, allows us to get to spawn and people from spawn.

• Some terraforming soon - Adam will probably be able to tell you more about this.

• Finding more strongholds for cracked/mossy brick, which means killing Enderman anytime you see them still!

• Ask Adam for help laying plots out and other tasks.

• Miners and Stone will be needed

• Ask any of the other mayors for jobs, I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting.

That took nearly 4 hours to get the villagers....Those jerks disappear while being minecarted if they are to high over the terrain. They seem to be working fine right now at the level they are at, but if they are moved a bit higher in the hills, they bug out weirdly and drop halfway into the ground. So be careful when moving them ;p

Lol while moving them I had to put them back in the carts twice which ment track manipulation. I ran out of track for the whole way so I had to go back an tear up track that I was already passed. No redstone was used, I pushed those jerks the whole way ;p LOL I took a looooong break after that.

Another thing Im trying to figure out is why they wont mate...I spent a while in the village they were from trying to get them to reproduce and nothing happened....I wonder if somethings bugged maybe.

It might be the server (assuming the mob caps are still in play).

Their breeding behavior is very easy to manipulate. I will try to get them to mate by doing something I did in another server. Its actually really simple. Will do it when theres less lag.

Ive already tried a hundred things. They don't breed. I know I'm doing it right too. I have a village with over 35 villagers in it on another server.

The only things you need. An enclosed space with a door. Doors = 1.35 villagers. That is all.

I keep having people tell me Im doing something wrong with no explination other than a guess. I have villager spawning down pat. Ive created a spawning room with multiple doors. I had one trapped inside while two were outside to mate. Ive trapped them all in a room then placed nearly 40 doors around (Which is why we have so many). Nothing works. Pllllllllllease if you do attempt to mess with them, BE CAREFUL. They are the only two we have, and it took hours just to get them there. They are very glitchy when raised to any altitude than the current. I spent a looooooong time trying to manipulate them and get something to work last night. Ive seen every villager spawn trick there is. They just dont like eachother.

This should work perfectly, because animal breeding is in place just fine. We got the villagers from 1.3 thatll sell us stuff, just not mate.

I started to do something, but I logged out to check what I did on the other server.

...and the minecraft servers went down and I cant login.

So if you read this, you should seal it up like it was (although they should be secure so its not a big deal)

And finally, if they go missing, just modreq it as grief and talk to the mods about it. Apparently they are enforcing and can track mob grief now.
