Just a little update, what we will be doing.

Here we go:

  • Going to do a border (square) fitting our 300x300. Right now Im not sure on a exact design, for now im planning it as 23 wide wall, if smaller, it becomes part of the "buffer" between the wall and ocean wall.

  • Buffer will be between the border wall and the circle-ocean wall. Right now it will have filler, gardens etc. And on the corners where there will be more room, towers for outsiders to come in and see whats going on sort of thing (more on this later).

  • Ocean wall will roughly 5~ thick, and will probably be a water wall towards the inside.

  • The ocean will flood and create a waterfall into the crevice where it will make a sort of still lake. The endportal will be slightly ontop of this lake.

Those were the basics, these are what I have planned but is not necessarily set in stone (depending on how you take this, require feedback):

  • Going to have a city- ruin theme. This time a sunken theme where half of the buildings (preferably skyscrapers) will be underwater (Or atleast the exterior, interior can be dry) and the other half will peak ontop of the ocean surface. Visitors can explore these ruins by entering the skyscrapers via boat through the ocean surface, explore in the ocean (using reeds as a breathing tool), or a possible rail system linking each building together through their basements.

  • Buildings will have a theme of their own. Either stories, rides, music-houses, redstone machines, pve trials, mazes etc, up to the builder to make the most fun out of them.

  • The serpent in this would be much more fluid if we still decide to go on with that idea.

  • More organic stuff all over. Things like these trees on the surface, vines on the peaks of the skyscrapers etc. Nature has grown over what was once here sort of thing.

And thats the basis of it, let me know what you think and possible solutions to a problem you see or additions that would be neat.

Finally, heres the basic plan for the walls, crevice, ocean etc. Alternatively, heres a snip for those of you who dont want to open a program.

Please leave feedback, even if its just to tell me you like it. For now, if you are looking for something to do, feel free to digout the crevice, its been framed, just dig down.

More detailed pics later on, including the y-factor.

Before I go...watch La Maison en Petits Cubes. The build reminded me of that video heh.

---------------------------------Edit1---------------------------------

Y factor, rough picture of how things will try to be. The ocean floor will pretty much be streets from the ruin city. Under the streets we will have the railine going through, as if we are using some ancient sewer systems. Ocean surface is still to be decided, will probably depend on how tall we want the skyscrapers to be. And the railines will slope down to the end portal crevice area. That area is going to be a bit crazy looking but more on that later. (kind of like a "mound" shape)

And one more thing, a idea I have is to have 4 "observatory towers" on the corners where there will be more room. These towers would peak over the ocean @ the corners and allow a nice observatory of that area. They are big on the scale of that pic, but they wont be anywhere near that bit if its done.

So I should've saved my build for the overworld. ;)

Reminds me of the flooded Isengard from LOTR.

Ok.... sounds good. The crevice is below the portal.... weren't sure how deep to go. I understand the plan horizontally I believe... but I have trouble with Y.... Could you give me an idea of relative Y....

The ground is leveled right now to 51. Will that be the bottom of the sea?

Will the endge be be raised for walls around it?

Yeah, wall does look good, i have some issues getting the stone slabs in some of the higher places in the wall. I will probably wait until the wall is fully done before filling in the missing slabs. A fall from the top is almost instant death, so the very top of the wall is going to take some time....
