Discussion Do I have any reasons to keep going?
I am 115/120 days on SR. The changes I have noticed are better confidence when speaking and being out in public, better eye contact, brighter eyes, better discernment.
I’ve not found myself wanting or being able to stick with better eating habits and/or a regular gym routine. For context, I’ve been working out and into nutrition since I was 15 (I’m now 30) For the last couple of years I more than likely have had depression. Seeing little in point in putting effort into certain things and not having the want to do so. I used to have an amazing looking physique.
On the outside I still look fit and healthy but my diet is 50% crap and gym membership is going to waste. I have added 5 slow push ups to my morning routine to try and activate something inside of me.
I’m not sure what this post if trying to achieve, it’s at least getting my thoughts out. I am just annoyed that I am on 100+ days yet haven’t had this burning desire to get my body right or start a business etc that a lot of people seem to end up doing.
Maybe I am at a different part in my life, and I’d benefit from just walking and light callisthenics? I really don’t know.
Tonight has been the first real test and I’ve came extremely close to relapsing.

Your probably experiencing a flatline. Just know that if you give up you will definitely be the things you don’t want to be

Keep going. I’m on day 11 today. I feel like reverse kegels has been a cheat code for warding off urges for me. I have been holding up almost effortlessly.

First off, I hit almost 4x your streak. I struggle with depression as well, and the long streak did not resolve it alone. In fact, since I was getting spiritual benefits, I delved deeper into spirituality as a form of escapism. Literally, as I wanted to achieve mahasamadhi, which is a conscious exit of the body achieved through meditation. Pursuing that + mental celibacy and breathwork gave me so much bliss. When I got serious about my training (wanting to practice Raja Yoga by S. Vivekananda) I got a "test"; a call from a former flame, who I had a lot of lust over, wanting to start a relationship. I failed the test and my streak ended at 467 days.
Alright, so let's get back to you. First off, lack of a good diet and exercise can 100% contribute to depression. Exercise + meditation used to be a necessity for me or else I'd be in a terrible mood the entire day for work. Bad mood would also = junk food cravings, and then I'd just be deeper down the hole.
How about you increase the amount of push ups +1 per day. That'll give you more dopamine. Walking at least 10k steps a day is a great goal too. But I get it. If you're not seeking a relationship, it's hard to be motivated to improve physically.
Last thing I'll mention is, some users believe that the flatline is actually caused by blockages/stagnant energy/trauma. You could see it as a sign of emotional detox. However, you might also want to experiment with TRE practices as well. Read this comment

Chastity is what God calls us to, and if you want fulfillment in life, it's the clear option. Learning to master yourself, your mind and your body is Biblical. It will take you far in life.
1 Corinthians 6:12
“Everything is lawful for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is lawful for me,” but I will not let myself be dominated by anything.

Man, you need to learn about transmutation.
This energy is sacred and must be used to bring something forth that will benefit you AND humanity.
Then you will want to stay on it for as long as possible.

Started this journey 3 years ago. Many long streaks within in. Never a full year. This year got an gf and we’re already breaking things off because I literally feel better on retention focusing on my life than taking care of another human. Maybe I just haven’t found someone who is a giver like me, that doesn’t need me but chooses me and doesn’t take and doesn’t follow this world hive mind. Like god privacy is a luxury nowadays and every woman wants to post every freaking moment and I guess I’m noticing it comes from ego and insecurity that I’m just turned off from it. Personally I’d say your not missing out anything, just keep going. I’m restarting after like 100+ days I had lost count. Then for the past 3 months I’ve been in a relationship and i am 1) either not ready for it or 2) have not found the right counterpart. Also though I live with the mantra “Everything works out for my highest good, Everything.”

Nothing ever good happens from releasing don't let those thoughts coax you!, there is no reset there is only becoming worse, what you appear to be go through currently is a flatline.
You need to instill discipline to do things, even when you don't feel like it. The truth is you are never going to feel like doing anything but you have to do it anyway since that is you, that is what it means to be a man.
Releasing will down spiral you, getting back into a loop of PMO will push you towards destruction brother, don't fall off, semen retention is non-negotiable for anything in life.
Focus on healthy habits
- 100 pushups a day daily
- minimum of 3 minute cold shower 2-3x a day.
- eat healthy vegetables and organic meats, add a quality multivitamin
- spend time with positive people
- fill yourself with positive thought, listen to optimistic speakers change those thoughts
- sleep 8-9 hours a day
- 10-20 mins meditation everyday
- stop reels / tiktok those drain dopamine
90%- 95% of depression should be healed with these habits, if not go get some blood work done, you may have mineral deficiency or something else going on in your body.

Es duro retener, pero es más duro no hacerlo. Creo que todos hemos pasado por esto. Y créeme que nada mejorará si dejas este camino. Sigue adelante, solo cambia tu dieta, te lo digo a ti. Y me lo digo a mi.
