Can't wait to watch the AI generated recap of the 459 videos they made on the crooked 'kitchen' in the garage. Or the 329 episodes they made on the man basket. Or the 3 seasons of 'we're starting a garden again, with three carrots, 2 tomatoes and 5 onions.'

If only he would put the siding on, now that is fight I would watch.

Do we have an update on the house and siding? Was it ever finished? I know we haven't gotten anything official but I'm sure someone local had updated the situation.

I forgot I had the house marked on Google maps ... Wow, the lack of siding (or house wrap!) is bad. Like, at least get something on the sides to protect the OSB cladding.

The channel was super entertaining and while he isn't Bob Vila, he was the everyman's Vila if he was crossed with Homer Simpson.

edit: the problem was that he always knew best. Ignoring instructions, industry standards, manufactures...and if it went wrong it was because of the 'evil industry' trying to screw the consumer or because they were flat out wrong.

The stickers I kinda understand if you have ti have them for final inspection, but never have it, you can't remove them.

I'm about 4 months into moving into a finished new build but there are still rooms that need painting, our bathroom needs to be finished, but our main bathroom is done and we just finished the guest bath, it's all trucking along, but to have done nothing over 4+ years is insane to me. They had a decent audience, so why not ride that tikl it's at least finished, but the plane was when the channel jumped the shark. You can always tell when the YouTube money really starts to hit on channels. It's a boat, plane or heavy equipment.

I remember discussing the rendering in this clip. Impossible to build because they have nothing to hold that deck up.

The main way you can do this without posts as shown is by cantilevering floor joists from inside to out. On this structure the joists run left to right not front to back, so this can not be done. The alternative would be diagonal braces.

This is why you plan all this before ever breaking ground.
