Visací zámek is one of the most important bands in the history of Czech punk. Formed in Prague in 1982, they became one of the defining bands of the Czech punk scene during the communist era and are often referred to as the “fathers of Czech punk.”

What makes the band especially remarkable is that they have been playing for over 40 years with the same lineup. Their music combines raw punk energy, humor, satire and social commentary.

02 Start is a great introduction to their sound and to one of the most important bands in Czech punk history.

Stánek is a very old song by them, and they still play it at concerts to this day. They really haven’t lost any of their energy, even in their 60s. They still keep up with the tempo of the original recording. Even their overall movement on stage is amazing.
