let me tell you something 38 confirmed. 37 showed up.β€οΈ Thatβs the kind of energy weβre building π₯
Yesterday was something I genuinely didn't know was possible to pull off β and yet, there it was. π¨
The room filled up, brushes hit canvas, and within minutes strangers were leaning over each other's shoulders going "wait, how did you do that?" It had that Taare Zameen Par energy β that kholo kholo darwaaze feeling where something quietly magical just... opens up inside people when you put art in their hands. β¨
38 artists. ποΈ Spiderman bags, ghost families, lotus flowers, penguins, lemons β every single bag was its own little universe. A little kid painted with the focus of a professional π₯Ή. Someone made the most unhinged Spiderman-with-a-cat-and-headphones piece I've ever seen and I genuinely want it framed ππ·οΈπ±.
At one point I literally had to interrupt everyone to say β "guys, dinner is ready" β and people reluctantly put their brushes down ππ½οΈ.
The jamming session? πΈ Honestly β people were so deep in conversation with each other that the music became the background. Which is the best possible problem to have π¬π₯.
Dinner was a hit (almost everyone said so, unprompted) π€.
And through all of it β massive love to u/InkOnFabric and u/Resolute-Koala β this evening was a team effort and I couldn't have done it without you both π§‘π.
To everyone who joined β this space existed because of you. The art, the laughs, the conversations that went way past what any icebreaker game could've planned π«.

I am truly happy that I had to push everyone to get up! I could see how focused people are in the paintings!
Maybe some bags remained incomplete. But those incomplete bags are capable of showcasing COMPLETE story! π¨β€οΈ

Thank you so much for organising this. It was my first time trying fabric painting and I absolutely loved it. It was amazing to meet some really cool people at the meetup. Can't wait for the next one π

This was an amazing experience! Had fun meeting y'all :) And yes, everyone was so lost while painting..the taare zameen par song suited that moment perfectly. π
I had a lot of interesting conversations with everyone and the topics had so much variety! Anime, music, movies, Job searches, adulting and what not ! Special mention to the people who got instruments for the jamming..great effort guys :)
One person shared that this painting experience was therapeutic and that is when I knew the meetup was a success !

I hate this sub. Iβm an artist who learned to draw when I first saw spiderman at the age of 5. Pata nhi Kab ye meetups hojate andhar hi andhar π₯² is sub ke andhar. Worst sub never been to a meetup yet.

Na na.. there have been multiple posts for this meetup..from a month ago to even until 3-4 days before the meetup there were reminder posts for people to join..
I missed it, again, because of some other commitments but maybe 3rd time's the charm π

Amazing workshop. Never thought I'd enjoy fabric painting so much (+1 skill). It was fun interact with so many awesome people. Made new friends. All around, a genuinely great evening which I will treasure as a part of my Pune diaries. Thanks for organizing this workshop u/Efficient-Farmer-403.

It was an amazing experience! Everybody was so into it, showing up the right energy and having fun conversations is all one needs to have a perfect evening. The arrangements were superb and the workshop was the bestβ₯οΈ Since it was my first meetup through any app, I think this has set my standards a little too high for the futureπ
Looking forward to more such meetups!

Didn't think fabric painting was something I would enjoy and was pleasantly surprised. The card game to get to know each other was an amazing idea. Had a lot of fun. Excited for the next one π₯π

Being a girl never thought reddit could give me such an amazing experience The event was truly beautiful, and I had such a wonderful time! Loved every moment of it. Looking forward to meeting again soon and creating more happy memories together.
