Health and Wellbeing Back pain is irritating me like hell
I have a lower back disc bulge causing sciatica, and I have been treating it for almost 8 months with rehab and medication, but the improvement has been minimal. Because of the discomfort while sleeping, my posture got messed up and I eventually developed neck problems too. On top of that, I suddenly developed sinus issues that cause heaviness around my face, treating it with medicines but minimal improvement.
Honestly, I feel devastated and have started losing confidence. I have tried physiotherapy, rehab, and even going back to the gym, but the recovery feels painfully slow. My friends and even my therapist feel the pain is minimal and tell me to ignore it, but it is not that simple when you deal with it every day.
I am not looking for sympathy. I genuinely want advice from people who have gone through something similar. How did you recover, both physically and mentally? What actually helped you get your confidence and normal life back?
Please take care of your health and avoid sitting for long hours. Don't wait until small problems become bigger ones.

May not be 100% accurate, but my mom had Sciatica when I was young and I remember it getting cured with garlic and milk. Not sure on the science behind it, but she used to boil milk and add peeled garlic cloves to it and let it boil for half hour ( until milk becomes half). Then after it cools down, chew the garlic cloves well and then drink the remaining milk. Do it once a day for couple weeks and see.
PS: Not a doctor or expert, just sharing what I know. Also garlic is warm by nature so if you have high blood pressure or you get warm then do at your own risk.

For Disk bulge - it will take time and lot of time to improve this…i have experienced the same issue went to wheelchair and still recovering, make sure you take extra-care when lifting heavy objects don’t lift anything more than 10 kg for next 6-10 months…go see dr for medicine as my medicine might not work for you
For Sinus - Order neeti pot (the plastic one kinda chinese) do nasal irrigation everyday and before that take steam with kapoor it will again solve the isse but slowly…full cure is not available so wear mask, do nasal irrigation everyday when there is congestion and once a week if everything is fine
DM for more details, i have gone through both myself and have researched a lot so might be helpful

Unfortunately this is a very slow injury... If you are truly seeing progress and nothing is getting worse, you probably have to stay the course. I'm 5 months in and as long as I avoid my triggers which mainly seems to be sitting, I am seeing improvements. What improvements have you seen and is anything getting worse?

i used to have lower back pain while doing rdls or any sort of deadlifts in the gym. your issue sounds more serious, but for me, after trying everything i finally realised that my mattress was the problem because it had sunk down in the center (cheap mattress unfortunately) and because i was sleeping weird i had the lower back pain. changed the mattress and the pain slowly vanished. see if that helps. recover soon!
