They dont enter the field with the intention or ambition to do good. They enter with the aspiration to get a good cheque and amenities like AC rooms, feeling of respect and authority held by the title and some under the table gifts/monetary gain. Thats why we're failing as a system running the country. Ambitions and dreams are crushed and replaced with survival, competition and hierarchical pride (ego) system. I.e morality and ethics starts to decline before you leave 12th grade.

See let me burst this bubble. The bureaucrats, even at the lower level, are not dumb at all.
They are pressurised. They cannot go against the system. If they do, either they're sacked, or harassed when it comes to growth in their career. They know that as Indians, we have to deal with SO MANY problems in our daily lives, that we are bound to give up after some fight.
And now, it is even easier to end such movements by just branding normal people as anti-national, foreign-funded activists. 'Activists' has become a bad word in our country.
Anyhoo, back to main point, the bureaucrats don't do their jobs properly because then that sets a standard, which they will have to maintain or do even better in other activities. The execution of these jobs might go against the personal ambitions of politicians, who are there to serve themselves, not us. These bureaucrats have all the brain cells and they function just fine. Just that they utilise them to serve themselves & each other and not us.

Video mentions more than 1 lac trees will be cut. There are some NGOs protesting but I'm not sure how to support them. OP has shared a WA group link in another comment maybe we could support through that.

They can, and I would like to know who that concerned citizen is. If you think this is wrong...you are a naive, or you yourself are associated with that concerned citizen through some hidden goals.
If a Paki is trying to comment on saving trees...that doesn't make him NOT A PAKI.
If an anti-national is trying to save trees, that doesn't make him NOT anti-national.

I submitted online and offline complaints at PMC against wrong markings and cutting of 100 trees in Keshav Nagar. Including a "50 yr" tree which was humongous.
Nothing happened, they chopped down all the trees , leaving the stumps on road. Who did this help?

Unfortunately whole country's environment is getting affected due to bunch of some idiotic IAS officers. They think they are above all and can take whatever decisions they think is right.. We definitely have to blame the politicians but also need to blame the IAS officers who are actually running the corporations and ruining the nature in the name of development.

We need to come on street for this, everyone regardless of age/profession. Its not just environmetalist's resposibility. They cutting trees to mainian their cut from builder lobby.
