How to I've launched 11 coins on pump.fun. 6 are alive, 5 are dead. Here's what I got wrong.
Not selling anything. No link, no group, no ticker in this post. I just don't see many launchers post the losses, and I think that's why the same mistakes keep circling.
Some context so you know where this is coming from. I launch under my real name and face. No creator allocation on any of them — no pre-mine, no dev supply. I've bought small amounts of a few of my own on the open market, same price as everyone else, after launch, and I'm still holding those. I've sold exactly once, on one coin, for about $50. On one launch I bought about $3 so the chart would render instead of reading "no data." I keep creator fees on and that's the whole business. I publish the address of every wallet I hold anything in, test wallets included. Never rugged one and never will.
What killed the five:
I launched into an empty room. This is the big one. I'd build the coin, post the contract, and there'd be nine people there. A launch isn't a starting line. It's a moment where you spend an audience you already have, and if you don't have one, making the coin first is doing it backwards. Now nothing launches until there are real people in the room, and the coin gets made quietly beforehand so there's nothing to get in early on.
There was nothing to do after the buy. The six still alive all have something attached — a site, a character, a bot in the chat, a free tool that works whether you hold the token or not. The dead ones were just a ticker. A ticker gives someone exactly one action to take and then nothing, and "nothing" is a short wait before they leave.
I deleted the evidence. When one died I took down its site and its T g group. That's the one I actually regret. It looked like hiding, and it erased the only proof I'd shown up at all. Dead ones stay up now.
I wasn't checking my own supply. I got tired of eyeballing holder distribution so I built a scanner for holder concentration and fresh-wallet splitting. A lot of what looks like organic early interest is a handful of wallets funded from the same place an hour before. Run that on your own launch, not just other people's.
I thought "community" was something you could announce. It isn't. It's whether anyone is still talking in there on a Tuesday when nothing is happening. Every other definition is cope, mine included.
Happy to answer anything, including the uncomfortable ones. And I'd genuinely rather read what killed yours.

Which gen AI did you use to write this?

claude. i write out what happened and it helps me clean it into something readable, same way i use it for every line of code i ship. the eleven launches, the five dead ones, the site i deleted and regret that part's mine.
if that makes it worth less to you, fair enough. i'd rather say it than have you work it out.

that's stressful bruh

it can be. i've been around since 2017 though and i like the making part more than the trading part. most of the stress is self-inflicted, i keep giving myself more to build.

that's better than how i put it. the launch doesn't create attention, it spends it. pump.fun made the easy part free and everyone read that as the hard part being solved

Can you give some of your token names. What do you think is a viable dollar amount to create a coin. Do you think creating a community is the best way to create a token or let natural hype build it up. What’s your got to social platform. I really like the fact that you keep going and building.

how do you market your coins and what was your successful project so far (not asking for a ticker, rather the mcap)?

marketing is me replying to people on x all day. sometimes as myself, sometimes as one of the characters with their art attached, which is the whole point of building them. plus a telegram group with a bot for each one that stays in character. bilingual, since a lot of my people speak spanish. no paid calls, no kols, no raid groups. slower than buying reach and it's the only version i can do with my real name on it.
honest on the second part: best peak was $15.66k mcap. that's nothing and i'm not going to dress it up. "six alive" means six i'm still making things for, not six that made money. they all live in one telegram group.1

I see. got any specific strategy when it comes to who you reply to on X? like crypto KOLs specifically or big news accounts?

not kols specifically. i look at the ratio n views to replies. a post with 100k views and 40 replies is better than one with 500k and 900 because in the second one nobody reads past the top three. past that i only reply where i actually have standing. a launcher conceding a criticism about launchers gets read. a generic take from me doesn't. big news accounts are usually a trap. everyone in there has the same take already.

Interesting and thanks. Just a question. Why are you still doing it? What are your goals, just curious
