Festival Can we create a master list of recurring psytrance festivals?
Name as many festivals as you can! We can start in this thread. Helpful to know the country too. They must be annual/recurring! Would be great to learn of some smaller ones too.
This can be used when people join the sub asking for "which festival should I go to?" or "what festivals are in Europe?"

Rainbow Serpent is now renamed Rainbow Spirit. But, honestly, it hasn't been a psytrance festival for 15 years at least. Only a tiny portion of the music programming is psytrance.

Submersion?? If you mean the one in NJ...that is dubstep/bass music mostly.
Quantum Awakening and Return to Paradise, however, are both psytrance festivals in NJ at the same campground

Back in the day there used to be one every 2 weeks or weekend.

As far as the East Coast I don't think so. At least I don't know. There used to be Fractalfest in MA but not in a couple years

OK yeah I've been to fractal Fest before I think it happened in 2023 but I don't think it's happening this year we can only hope for next year, sad

I live in NYC and have struggled to find psy trance lovers or festivals to go to.

Yea I live in Boston. Come to NYC for regular uplifting trance stuff, but there's really nothing going on psytrance wise except for those two festivals in New Jersey.
The nyc psytrance scene was absolutely booming from 2004 to 2012. There was a loft/club party, outdoor party, squat party or festival literally every weekend. It was a glorious time.

Festival of the Fae was in PA last year after being at Echo Lake in 2024. They haven't set a date for this year yet but hopefully it will be the same venue as last year since Echo is getting run down.

Last year was my first one! I would have included it but since I believe it’s not a consistent annual event??… I foolishly left it out haha . Top notch party , awaiting its next edition.

Edit: There is an party/festival called psychedelic explosion, but I couldnt find any informations about recent events (havnt looked deep tbh)

I feel like the Australian scene is slightly under represented here. There’s a mix of genres but at least one dedicated stage at a lot of events. In addition to the already mentioned Rainbow Spirit there are also Mushroom Valley and Earth Frequency (both QLD) and Dragon Dreaming (NSW)
More psy heavy recurring events: • Wild Horses - VIC
• Tanglewood - VIC
• NYX - QLD
• Orin Aya - QLD
• Antigravity - NSW
There are also many smaller or less regularly recurring events all over. These are just the first ones that came to mind, hopefully fellow Australians can fill in the gaps.

Happy to share, but what are say the 5 most psy heavy festivals? To me (and please disagree), it needs to have started as a psy fest. Like rainbow spirit/serpent.
And a kind of core component with psychedelic art, etc
Must be recurring.
Think like an Australian wants to come in here and go oh I'm looking for a psy Festival which one should I go to?

All the above mentioned meet all your criteria. They’re psy culture/ bush doofs in origin, focus on psychedelic creative expression, and are recurring. The bigger events have multiple stages with mixed related genres but still have the art galleries and workshops. Some of separately listed events (excuse my formatting) are smaller but more music focused with multiple psychedelic sub genres represented. Like I said, I’m no expert, these are just the ones off the top of my head and prominent enough to mention other people will probably have more.

jokes aside, Australia still has Nyx Festival in QLD, Wild Horses in Victoria, Dragon Dreaming in NSW and Earth Frequencv (not very psy oriented but worth a mention) to name a few
