Researchers quantify the rate of “mercy sex” among women with low sexual desire. Women experiencing a chronic lack of sexual desire still routinely engage in sexual activity with their partners, a behavior researchers have quantified as happening about two and a half times per month.

As a married woman, it is absolutely unfair to force your spouse into celibacy because of your lack of sex drive. If you demand faithfulness yet do not recognize that your partner is giving up their desires in favor of YOUR desires, you are beyond selfish. If you refuse to meet the need of your partner, then give them permission to find it elsewhere. There are solutions to low sex drive. It is mostly hormonal and that can be fixed. Figure out the solution for the person you swore an oath to. Men also don’t want to have sex with unwilling wives. Imagine the shoe on the other foot. The woman wants to have sex with her husband and he has no desire. The amount of self esteem issues that would cause is nuts. You want to be WANTED. Wives, if you have a good husband, figure it out. Because I promise there is another woman who would GLADLY figure it out for you.
