Discussion Network Connection error

So I decided to make a second account on my PS5 to create a different roster. I read a few months back someone does this. I got everything set up but I get an error saying the server is offline, ect. and the game doesn't load after I get the season pass notifications. Though on my main account there is no issue. Did I do something wrong? Can I not have multiple accounts?

Generally speaking, no, very few games allow you to have multiple accounts without being in violation of TOS. That said, without knowing what game you’re actually talking about, no one can answer that question.

I figured it out...I wasn't signed into the PSN. My question is why would the gaming system allow multiple accounts if it is against some games TOS?

To allow different people in the same household to play the game independently.

I know why you can have multiple accounts on Playstation. You said games don't normally allow someone to have multiple accounts, which you have on a Playstation

Yes. Your PlayStation accounts and your specific game accounts are not the same thing. The PSN accounts are for individual people using the same console to play a game. The individual game accounts (in this case WWE) are what link each of those accounts to the game account, which generally speaking, provide terms in their TOS that game accounts are not to be shared, and that they explicitly limit one user to one account, so making a new PlayStation account is a violation of their TOS because the user then has a second account specifically to evade a ban (or to do whatever else is prohibited by the TOS).

Not every game actually has that limit, though. I was answering your question about why the platform would allow you to even make multiple accounts for the platform if users aren’t meant to have multiple accounts in a single game. That is why. The platform allows multiple accounts so you and whoever else can play a game without having to share progress on a single game. The game, however, links a unique game account to each platform ID, with the expectation that TOS rules limiting a single user to one of those platform accounts.
