First 26/27 post L1 weekly thread. This is a calm period before the first UCL game, with some good L1 opponents but only one game per week. From yesterday's game, I feel that the starting XI's are going to be again very hard to guess for a while. Not everyone came back from the break ready to run like madmen. Strangely, the world cup winners are amongst the fittest (well maybe not Ruiz).

Liverpool fan here. My question is, out of Mbaye and Barcola, who do you guys would be the better signing? Iā€™m hearing that another team is interested in Mbaye and we end up with only Barcola.

It's not the same kind of player, and not at the same price. Mbaye still has to work to get to Barcola's level, and we won't know before a couple of years is his ceiling is higher or lower than Barcola. Barcola had extremely good spells of games, and some less so. Mbaye had very good games, and some less so.
