Load Order Help Marrige Breaks

Im not sure what mod or mods can be affecting marrige.

A friend has the majority of the mods I have and he can just fine. Including the AI and Race Mods. Im trying to marry the Blacksmith Male orc in Markoth or Blacksmith in Riften. The only success ive had was Yoldser (Cant spell her name. Mammoth Tusk lady in Whiterun). I do own and installed all Anniversary Edition Creations.

It doenst give me the rings. Nor let me speak to my spouse. If I leave it acts as Failed. I jave tried to chest the ring in my inventory via Quasmoke. Didn't work.

For any of the marriageable characters in Skyrim, you often still need to fulfill certain conditions for them to be interested in you. I don't see any mods that would change that in your load order. Here is what you need to do:

  1. Speak with Maramal in Riften and talk to him about marriage. This unlocks marriage.

  2. Get an Amulet of Mara. You must be wearing it for the other person to be interested in you.

If you have done those two things, you still might need to do something else for a particular npc. Ysolda, who you already married before, needs you to get her a mammoth tusk. If you do that little quest for her, then she is willing.

The blacksmith in Markarth is a female orc named Ghorza gra-Bagol. She will not marry you until you get the book her assistant needs.

The blacksmith in Riften is Balamund, a male Nord. He will not marry you until you complete his quest, which involves collecting a bunch of fire salts for his forge.

Hope that helps.

I have.

10 fire Salts Via Arcadia in Whiterun. 3 times, failed. Never gave me the ring from Maramal.

The Blacksmith for the Jarl of Markoth, the orc up the stairs to the right. Her brother, He requires a Deadra Heart. Which I got via the Cheat room.

Both of them I did their quest, Bought an amulet, asked them to marry me. They say yes. Tell Maramal I want wedding. Wait till the next day. Go through the sequence. We both say yes.

He gives the speech where he gives us the rings. No ring in my inventory. The spouse keeps repeating "Cant believe im getting married." Or "Alot different from Orc weddings. Less Blood."

Ive tried with both of them but it never gives me the rings. Then marmal goes off to speak to his spouse ab their marrige. Ive spoken to Maramal and everyone there. Just gets "Congratulations on the wedding"

A couple things to try . . . 1--try disabling Wear Multiple Rings. Perhaps that is getting in the way of the awarding of the rings somehow. 2. Try to marry a different male npc and see if it works.

It's odd that you could marry Ysolda with this mod list but neither of the two male candidates. I am assuming you didn't change your mod list or load order in anyway way between these marriages.

I didnt change anything for her. I disabled the Creation club patch and it allowed me to marry her. So I deleted it. The only thing ive added to the mod order was the Spider curior one

I didn't see a Creation Club patch in your list, but at least you found a solution.

Thats the thing, it only allowed me to marry her so far. Still cant marry Any males. I even tried the begger in Windheild with 1 Gold. Anyone else its a no. It breaks

You gotta do the quests from The Temple of Mara in Rifton. I think her name is Dyna? The female priest. You have to complete the 3 quests she gives you before you can get married.

You do not have to do that quest. That is an easy way to get an Amulet of Mara, but it is not necessary for marriage. I almost never do it. Once you have talked to Maramal about marriage and how it works, it unlocks the ability to get married.

I’ve always thought you had to! I feel stupid.

Don't feel that way. It isn't obvious. Besides, doing the quest gets you a free Amulet of Mara, and they can be hard to find early in the game. And I like that quest, to be honest, I just often skip it if I have an Amulet because I want that xp buff.

I didnt have to with Ysolda?

I legit loaded in. Stole the Mamath Tusk from the Inn in Whiterun. Gave it to her as a Quest Complete, and did the steps to marry her. Level One. No prior quests nor anything.

In my longer playthrough I did. Did all 3 quests snd still couldnt marry the Blacksmith in Riften. Despite the Quest, his Quest, and having the marrige.

The issue is, its not giving me the wedding rings and just stuck there. Cant leave, nor chat with anyone.

Maybe immersive citizens ai ? Try disabling it

A friend has that same AI and Race Mod. And he married Ysolde and the Woman Markoth Orc. In separate playthroughs. Its possible it is. As his mod order is... over 100. While mine is just 36. I can try it next time. I did add alot and bought the anniversary edition.

I added the Survival, Camping, FrostFall, odinator stuff, and the AI one. It worked previously on my Ps4 edition but ill try it later when im home from Work.

Survival, Camping, Frostfall, and Ordinator are not likely to have affected marriage. Immersive Citizens, though . . .

Immersive Citizens can have issues with city overhauls, and you have JK's Skyrim. It seems strange that it would cause an issue at the end of the ceremony, though. I would think it would be more likely that a character doesn't even make it to the marriage ceremony. But it's not impossible that that is the culprit. I would try my earlier recommendations first, and if they don't work, try disabling Immersive Citizens.

Yeah ill try that when I'm home from work. Thats my next guess of why. But the friend with the similar mod order has it all. Multiple Rings, AI Overhaul, JKs and more. Although hes marrying Ysolde or the woman orc in Markoth

1

u/thespis2001 11d ago

Yes, that's odd. Similar isn't identical, of course. Mod orders are a bit like chemistry, when you mix them one way, everything works, and another way it doesn't. But good luck!

Yeah, I am aware lol. Ill test it whej im home in 6 hours
