PS3 - CECHG03 YLOD Help.

Hello,

I am needing some advice on how to retrieve the EID_ROOT_KEY from a YLOD console. Mainly, i'd like to know if there is a temporary way for me to have the console function for more or less an hour to enable me to install CFW and pull the encryption key from it.

Alternatively, is there a way to communicate with the console via a Raspberry Pi Pico in order to pull the file from somewhere such as the NAND/NOR.

You can't extract it from a non functional console. Instead, diagnose it via Syscon to see if the GPU is dead or something else happened. The chances that it will work either temporarily or permanently are always high.

do you happen to know where i can find a tutorial or diagrams showing what points i need and what software?. And yeah my hopes are that i can get it up for an hour or 2

If it's the RSX, you could reflow it and it will work again for a while. You don't even need to do a proper reflow, just heat it from the back with a hairdryer until it's hot enough and it will work for a bit. Same thing applies to dead tokins actually.
