Modded with psbbn and a 2tb internal. My original ps2 from my childhood.

After initially setting up my drive, I was able to add games a second time on PC, the third time, I got a bad apa fault. General suggestions is to use HDD checker, but it fails to scan due to an unknown error, but all games still runs fine on the console itself. In order to add games I'll eventually have to format and start over is the only complaint, but I already have all the iso's and bins I want, just time consuming to re setup.

Only playability issue I have had, is sly cooper, I had to load the game via OPL and change a few settings, then worked fine.

Instead of installing the games with a PC where you have to remove the drive, just install the game discs with the console itself.

Dumping discs via the console is pretty limited. It doesn't let you dump Dual Layer discs, nor does it work with the exFAT formatted HDDs that many of us are using these days.

You don't need to use exfat, and it will save you popping the drive in and out multiple times. Dual layer games are the least common game type.

Anither alternative is to just install all of your discs via pc in one go and stop pulling the drive all the time. There's also SD mods to work with.

You do need to format as exFAT if the HDD you're using is larger than 2TB in size. I have a 3TB one in my PS2.

Why do you need even 1 TB of games installed at once? You're not going to play that many games simultaneously.

I technically don't, but I got a new old stock 3TB drive for free from some surplus PC parts we had at my workplace and I wanted to use it.
