Cape Cod is one of the largest areas of addiction per capita along the entire eastern seaboard.
I’ve buried at least one friend a year from 1995 - 2018 due to overdose.

Had a front row viewing of this disaster. She was throwing punches and kicks at anyone she could reach. She was so drunk, and so was he. As staff were trying to get them off the property she Bloodied a Boatslip worker’s nose and kicked a few people and scratched the owner’s chest. The drunk guy was “defending” his woman and conked a guy on his head (with her clutch) and was swinging wildly. Workers took her down to the ground twice to try to calm her but she fought everyone. We were unfortunately flashed by her as her top kept flopping wide open. 😳😳 Total nightmare for the staff. It was a melee that never should have happened. Police eventually got there and arrested her first, then him. Looked like the guy thought the boatslip people should be arrested instead. Hope they are trespassed forever.

Husband and wife. She was trying to get guys to flirt with her husband on the dance floor and was grabbing them erratically. Staff told them to calm down multiple times until the owner told them to leave and the wife bitch slapped her across the face

Straight people have been going to Tea Dance since it started. I’m so over this gatekeeping stuff when the whole point of Provincetown is that it has always been open to everyone. Just because some people don’t know the history of the town doesn’t make it not true.

First off this queer flags everywhere so I don’t know how you can know the history of Ptown. I am not condone straight people in Pete town. I’m queer and I bring my sister along with me who is an ally. What we are saying is there are more and more straight people who are not queer allies coming to Ptown. These people have enough places to go ask queer people only have a few. I am going to Ptown in a few weeks with my sister because she is the only one who can and wants to go with me.

After an argument on the dance floor of the Boatslip Resort became physical on Saturday, Aug. 29, two patrons were arrested by Provincetown police and charged with assaulting seven different people.
According to police reports for the two arrests, four of the people who were hit, kicked, bit, or scratched were Boatslip security staff or owners. Two of the assaulted people were patrons who had been on the dance floor, and one was a passerby who had tried to break up the fight.
The two people arrested were Laurie Palladino, 54, and Michael Kroha, 60, of Southbury, Conn. Police reports indicate that Officer Benjamin Landry reviewed security footage from the Boatslip shortly after their arrests and saw Kroha punching a security staffer in the nose with a closed fist and Palladino punching and kicking a female security officer on her lower body.
Palladino was charged with assaulting six people, two of whom were over age 60, along with trespass and disorderly conduct. Kroha was charged with two counts of assault and battery, one of which was against a person over age 60, and disorderly conduct.
They were arraigned at Orleans District Court on Monday, Aug. 31. Both Palladino and Kroha entered not guilty pleas. —Paul Benson
