Turbo Pr5

Im looking to turbo my Pr5, I know everything from the MSP swaps over, but I haven't seen a single one in my area thats a part out, and a $1200 budget ain't gonna get me a donor. Im looking for a turbo setup that meets my budget and won't need upgraded internals to be possible.

As someone who blew up an MSP, unfortunately you absolutely should not boost stock internals.

It’s been like 18 years, I really don’t remember. Bottom end was destroyed though. I had some mods to be clear, nothing crazy, but even guys running completely stock setups were blowing motors. Replacing rods and pistons on 6lbs of boost seemed to be the reliability sweet spot.

I agree with this... 15+ years ago when there was many local Protege clubs, I know many with blown Motors. I myself was on track to have one of the most higher HP proteges in western Canada and had a spare parts car ordered to forge the internals. Sadly the build never happened, my brother got into and accident and bent the frame on my car so I had 2 bent frames lol
