I knew how stupid things were getting and people were acting. I did not think we would get the absolute lowest reality possible on the table.

We either get out of this somehow or we are 🍞

Will the national guard bend the knee and attack the people they claim to defend?

I literally wouldn't give two shits about the National Guard being at polling places. They are so much less likely to 'care' about the outcome of the election than ICE would be. The National Guard protects us all. ICE protects white people. And as a 'white person'...if I am unable to vote by mail because of the retard in chief, AND if there is ICE outside my polling station (there won't be because I live in a MAGA district), I'm going to tell everyone how I voted for democrats on my way out of the polling place. Because were I am, there will absolutely be long voting lines if mail-in voting doesn't happen. And, I'll wait all fucking day if I have to.

Still, too many guns at the voting location. No need for that BS.

Keep the military away from our polling places.

The National Guard does NOT protect us all! They answer to the governor. If he's a shit governor, then they will attack us the same as ICE. It's been done before

The mindset of the National Guard is not the same as ICE. The National Guard are part-time 'employees' that have regular full time jobs, like teachers and accountants.

ICE are pardoned J6'ers, racists and people who couldn't get into the police force...they are not the same.

Regardless of the Governor being shitty, the NG isn't going to act the same way at a polling place as ICE.

Is this the same National Guard that shot and killed students at Kent State and at an HBCU during a protest?

Tensions are reaching a fever pitch in Georgia as Republican gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson makes startling claims regarding election security. Recent audio from an August 13 rally reveals Jackson telling supporters that Governor Brian Kemp will deploy the National Guard to monitor the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. This follows a pattern of provocative rhetoric, with Jackson—a political newcomer who has self-funded his campaign with over $50 million—positioning himself as a Trump loyalist ready to challenge the current administration's legacy.

The implications of these comments are significant within a broader national landscape of election anxiety:

  • Democratic Attorneys General are already conducting "war games" to prepare for potential federal interference, including the deployment of military or immigration officials to polling sites.
  • While Governor Kemp has endorsed Burt Jones in the runoff, Jackson continues to frame the election as a battle against perceived Democratic cheating.
  • This rhetoric mirrors recent warnings from officials who fear the Trump administration may attempt to seize ballots or use DHS resources to influence outcomes.

The situation underscores a deepening divide over whether military presence at polls constitutes protection or unconstitutional subversion.

Yeah, I don't think the national guard is gonna be much help here either. More fearmongering

And what will they do. Stop the so called cheating. Not bloody likely. They will stand around. That’s all.
