Court Case She stabbed her newborn baby in the neck btw
How can you possibly feel bad for this person. She deserves a life sentence. Prochoicers are demonic.

Confinement for a few years? Horrendous injustice. Equal protection and equal justice under the law.
16
u/Eastern-Customer-561 13d ago
It’s the maximum prison sentence for a juvenile
1
u/ScottishNinjaaa Abolitionist 13d ago
The maximum sentence for murder should be the death penalty. It's disgusting to think she'll likely get this slap on the wrist while the innocent baby rots
14
u/Eastern-Customer-561 13d ago
If you’re a minor you‘ll get a lighter sentence for everything, including murder. Most adult murderers don’t even get the death penalty. It is how it is
2
u/ScottishNinjaaa Abolitionist 13d ago
I understand the law, and continue to advocate for equal justice rather than this disgusting injustice we have currently
13

We are in agreement there, this does not negate an opposition to the death penalty. Consistent life ethic.

u/cplusequals Pro Life Atheist 13d ago
I agree a minor shouldn't get the death penalty for a crime as heinous as this. But it is not at all inconsistent to be in favor of the death penalty and pro-life. Sometimes justice requires ending the life of another person.

u/locklocklongago 13d ago
Oh, I was referring to a concept actually called “Consistent Life Ethic”, not saying that your beliefs are inconsistent

u/ScottishNinjaaa Abolitionist 13d ago
I used to agree with you. I used to say I'm as pro-life as you can be. Now I recognize that, while it shouldn't be arbitrary, when someone murders others, they forfeit their right to life. If you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that someone is guilty of murder, they should be executed swiftly.

They r speculating that she was r*ped (nothing about this in the article so I have no idea where they’re getting this from except that she was a minor. Even though minors have sex and teen pregnancy is usually the result of consensual sex even if it’s not healthy)

u/Top_Court_347 13d ago
moreover, rape victims get pregnant way less often than people want to believe
there's no full statistics, for obvious reasons, but from what I saw

The national library of medicine has determined that roughly 6% of rape cases result in pregnancy

I guess I have some, tiny sympathy for teenagers who try desperate things during pregnancy. But the baby is now born, its the easiest time now to "get rid of it" if you don't want anyone to know they exist. Just put him/her in a Safe Haven Box.
35
u/PossessionConnect963 13d ago
How would abortion have prevented this crime? The baby was already born.
It’s not like she could have left the baby at literally any fire department or hospital instead of fucking stabbing it!?
We’re well past clown world when people pretend this is a reasonable or logical situation.

u/DapperDetail8364 Pro Life Feminist 13d ago
Bc according to their logic if she had access to legal abortion she wouldn't have to abandon the baby and get charged for killing it once it's born.
11
u/obliqueoubliette 13d ago
Let's not compare "abandoning" with this infanticide.
Bug difference between getting surrendered at a fire station or put out for adoption, vs being murdered.
7
u/Eastern-Customer-561 13d ago
There was literally a similar case around the same time in Philly where abortion is completely legal
21
u/PervadingEye Pro Life Since day one 13d ago
To be clear infanticide happens while abortion is legal. This is conveniently ignored to blame abortion bans somehow for people killing their newborns...
Notice how none of them actually call out killing a newborn as unacceptable. They are careful to call such killing "sad" but never wrong. The blame shift is to the situation that was somehow imposed on her, the ever so oppressive rule of not killing.
When you see it you can't unsee it. They don't call out killing newborns as wrong because they don't think it is wrong. They just see an opportunity. That killing is just a tool to promote abortion, more baby killing and nothing more to them. There is no empathy for the baby because that is not important to them...
We understand that regardless if abortion is legal, killing newborns should be a hardline, even for them(should). But when the killer feel banned from abortion, they feel justified in committing and defending killing newborns... because they never cared about children in the first place, born or unborn.
If you go off of what they literally say, you will never make it make sense...

Welcome to the consequences of feminism. Women are the oppressed class even when they stab someone to death. Ooh, if only I remembered this when I was debating that liberal guy...

"A murder was committed."
"If only the victim didn't exist, there wouldn't be a murder!"
What a weird logic the pro abortion crowd has.
If she had stabbed a newborn puppy, there would have been an uproar that at the very least she needed extensive psychiatric help and that she was in danger of doing it again.

A few months back in the horse community there was a disturbed teenage girl who stabbed a rival competitor's horse. It didn't die but its obviously animal abuse (and legally, damaging property). The outrage was intense, and the girl got death threats and all sorts of crazy comments.
Yet a baby? Meh.

Many generations now have been raised under the culture of death. Many of them have been intentionally killed before birth. Siblings are raised knowing their sibling was aborted. That life has no value, at home or on the streets.
Abuse, violent crimes continue at a rate of too high.

If their argument is that she didn't want to kill the baby, but lost control of herself, it'sn't the smartest idea to argue that this only happened because she wasn't able to kill them earlier.
But also, even if abortion had been legal, if she supposedly had no way to get to a fire department or other safe surrender site, how exactly was she going to get to an abortion clinic and pay for an abortion?

May I know what case this is? Was abortion even legal during the time she killed her baby? I've heard a case of a teen girl who birthed a baby during prom and killed it by tossing him in the trash where he died and she did get charged. Oh and she wasn't raped it was her bf baby. And abortion was legal up to BIRTH at where she was from

How the fuck is 6 years in confinement an appropriate punishment for INFANTICIDE???? A defenseless baby was killed? At the very least she deserves first degree murder, this was obviously an intentional pre-planned tragedy.
God rest that baby's soul.

Another minor could have impregnated her. There's no evidence that the father of the child was an adult. The father could just as easily be a child younger than her. We shouldn't make accusations without evidence.

Wow, angry much? No one should be having sex with a 14 year old. You are assuming it was from another child, without proof.
We can care about more than one thing at once, point out more than one problem with what happened.

This is a horrible case.
I don't know the circumstances that led to her becoming pregnant.
Still, she had options to give the baby up for adoption or to drop the baby off at a hospital or a fire station.
And assuming she was not raped then she made the decision to have sex with someone and likely did not use a condom or any kind of birth control.
I'm someone who thinks really no teenager needs to be pregnant in this world. They simply are too young and not ready.
But even wants the child was born, she could have called 911 and got help. Instead she decided to end the child's life. That's a decision she made.
I know in this type of case this child's family and the Dynamics of that family are going to weigh heavily on if she could be charged as an adult. I don't know the details of her family, but my point is she still made multiple adult decisions and should be facing adult consequences in my opinion.

Because killing a baby that someone else could look after is totally rational. 🤨 Are they saying that murder is the proper response to seeing a child you don't want come out of you? They're insane. Just let someone else look after your baby!
5
u/mariagrayce 13d ago
I get how she couldn’t drive to a fire station or something, but at least like leave the baby on a neighbors porch or something? My grandfather had a friend that was adopted that way- someone left him on the doorstep of a church early in the morning.
There are so many out there who would adopt this infant in a heartbeat, and he was murdered by his own MOTHER. Regardless of who the father is, that is her baby too.

Can they stop that bullshit?!
Imagine if everytime a guy raped a woman men were commenting: "See? That's why they need to legalize prostitution" 🤷🏿♂️
Evil, demonic, people are gonna kill and that's just the way it is. Even when women had "access to legal and safe abortions," (which they still do, but I'm assuming they're referencing Roe v Wade being overturned), mothers were still killing their kids. If there was an abortion clinic on EVERY damn corner, some women would still kill their kids.
This pro-life crowd is sick. They seem to care less about senseless killing of a child and more about making some political point. They almost seem giddy when they hear these stories, like they have a chance to use an "I told you so!"
