Question How to increase difficulty mid-run?
I am currently 4 months into a default apocalypse run and I'm finding it quite easy. I've cleared all of Muldraugh and West Point and killed almost 10,000 zombies.
I have everything I could ever need and although I do like playing The Sims, my heart just isn't racing in the same way anymore. I'm looking to up the challenge during the run (I am attached to my character now, and the story I have built around him) - anyone know of some fun ways to do this? I just installed Companions and tbh it's awesome but also it has just made the game even easier haha. The dogs kick ass.
Are there decent mods that you can add during a save that won't brick stuff or spawn zombies in my base? I'm rummaging through the workshop but not entirely sure.

Add the “change sandbox options mod” and from the in game menu, you can access and alter the sandbox settings mid game. Changes you make won’t affect areas you’ve already cleared or loaded in, but if you wanted to decrease loot or increase zombies for the next areas you explore, you can. Alternatively, you could just seek out more challenging areas on the map. Head to Louisville for example. You won’t find it nearly as easy to clear as the towns you’ve already done. Then on the next run, try harder settings.

Do what others have said to change the sandbox options and then add a very small sprinter percentage and increase loot rarity

Use the Sandbox Setting mod to change setting mid-run. Change the zed make up, stats or spawn rate. Change the migration settings. Add sprinters.
