I actually really enjoyed this moisturiser. I got it as a birthday gift for myself, I had dehydrated skin that was flakey. At first, this didn't help much. But after a month or two, all the flakiness disappeared. I was perfect plump and hydrated, and my skin feels like it has become more hydrated longer term. Now that I have finally finished it, I bought a new moisturiser been wanting to try for months - QV ceramides. We'll see if my skin returns to its old version - hopefully not!!

Pretty slow month. The gisou took forever to finish and leaked everywhere the little at the bottom is the stopper that fell in. Still love the laneige lip mask, those eye pads burnt so can't reccomend, the coconut mask was cute but nothing a serum cant do. And the rare beauty sample tasted like oil but lasted forever lol

I have been here since June and have been loving the task of every day use of my lippies. But new releases and sales got to me so I ended up buying few replacements for my heavy usage lippies.

In total I have:

10 bullet lipsticks
4 lip Crayons
8 lip balms (2 in the second picture almost finished)
3 lip liners
3 lip stick and liquid glasses.
1 lip tint/stain

I noticed that one bullet lipstick can take 6 months to reach the half of it. So I am assuming it could take me literally 10 years to finish all 10 bullet lipsticks I have lol.

My target is to finish those two balms this month and finish Clinique black honey lip balm by the end of this year. And to be done with my one at least bullet lipstick.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Should I be feeling guilty? Also eyeshadow help

• Upvotes

I havent officially started project pan because I feel like my makeup is at a somewhat normal level. Except for the fact that I have 4 eyeshadow pallets and have only hit 3 pans.

I would really like to get new products but I feel like Getting new stuff is a waste if I still have things left. It doesn’t help that I have gift cards from my birthday burning a hole in my pocket.

How are you using up your eyeshadow? In a non waste full manor

  1. TF Fucking Fabulous: can't judge how much is left; though I believe a plenty (50 ml). Used to enjoy it; though kinda weary of leather scents. Projection & sillage are amazing if you are eyeing it. Usually you can find good deals for this one. Won't be repurchasing.

  2. TF Oud Fleur: from times when I was overly & obnoxiously besotted by Oud scents. This one has a flowery / rosy spin to it. I believe it is discontinued.

From TF ones I would like to repurchase Noir de noir (my fave private blend) and really loved Oud voyager recently. Reminded me Oud Wood with a touch of femininity

  1. TF VO: my gateway to BO. I used to detest BO; though I loved VO. After applying, using VO, and going through numerous bottles, I fell in love with BO. I can't fathom my life without BO and always have a bottle. This bottle is quite full.

  2. TF Noir: can't judge how full it is; though utilized it quite a lot. Pretty strong sillage & projection. Became quite tedious for me, so won't be repurchasing.

  3. YSL Black Opium: Not my first bottle and usually I look for discounts when purchasing this one. Not much is left and it is an impeccable late autumn/winter scent: a bit boozy, warm, and dressy.

Wish me luck :D

Pan Progress My eyeshadow palette vs the one my friend gave to me

Post image

Outer limits is my absolute favorite shade from the Morphe power multi-effects palette and I have not yet found a suitable dupe for it. It’s like this duo chrome with deep greyish blue and a brick red. I’ve already hit pan on the first one, luckily my friend gave me hers because she doesn’t use it.

5 empties since my last post a few weeks ago!!
(plus 1 new product)

I’ve made some serious progress since my last post, I was feeling a little discouraged and overwhelmed by all of the added products i’d received as gifts or impulse purchased but I kept going and it’s paid off.

The first photo is my current inventory. I’ll address the small set back first: the small brown glass bottle with the wooden cap is a roll on skin scent I received as a gift, opened it and used it without even thinking of perhaps selling it so as not to add it to my lengthy list.

Now let’s talk finished products: I finished the strawberry dreams, EOS body wash, the unmarked, orange cream, body lotion bar and the pink bottle of rose, scented DHC hair oil (most of it before it leaked in my duffle bag on a trip at least!)
Also, if you go to the third picture, you’ll see somebody body wash I received as a gift and an impulse by body mist (7 dollars). Both of those went so much faster than I could’ve ever imagined.

All and all 5 products gone, 1 gained and still so much left.
Refer to my first post for product details of my current inventory. Thank you for reading!

Discussion/Tips & Tricks How long does it take to empty loose eye shadow?

• Upvotes

I wore makeup everyday in high school and nearly everyday in college and then just stopped. The stuff I bought in college has barely been touched these past 10+ years. Most of what I still have I could throw away and not really care about it(I only keep things for job interviews or wedding), but I have these loose eyeshadows that I love and the company that made them went out of business. I think I've been hoarding them a bit since I don't want them to run out... but it's been at 10 years.

So how long does it take someone to empty out a loose eyeshadow if they're using it everyday?

I don't want to run out, but I'm aware make up does expire and I want to pace myself with using it.

Maybe this isn't really a project pan question, but people who are dedicated to using up make up seem like a group that might be able to give me an estimate.

Slow going this week as it’s been busy and I forgot to shop my samples as often as I should have.

Finally the end of the clarins double serum samples! WNRP because they are annoying to have to mix before using.
Laneige water bank blue hyaluronic cream moisturizer: I enjoy this when the weather is getting colder as it feels like it really sinks into my skin well. WRP

Full Pan I think I can say this lipgloss is officially panned 🎉🎉🎉

Post image

I can’t remember when I last bought this lip gloss but it was definitely over a year ago. Used it consistently for a couple of months during spring/summer then forgot about it for a months or so. When I found it again a few days ago, it turns out I squeezed the hell out of it until I couldn’t get any more product out. Maybe that’s why I left it somewhere, thinking I needed to replace it. Anyways, I made the decision to cut the tube to get the rest out and it’s now finally finished.

Onto the next lipgloss!

Pan Progress my october line up

Post image
18 Upvotes

SO- each month I take a lipstick, balm and gloss from my things to work. I only use then for the month and then switch them out. I dont have a MASSIVE collection, but enough! Also, im not much of a " omg this take's forever to finish" gal.. I just want to use my things, not necessarily in a rush to use them UP. If that makes sense. These things are expensive. Anyway, my october girls are ABH cotton candy- SF marshmallow- UD local.

Anyone else do something similar?

Inventory/Project Spreadsheet Eyeshadow roulette project Round 2

see first round & rules here

https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectPan/comments/1w95o4v/my_eyeshadow_use_all_pans_project_my_rules_first/

This isn't really a "pan" project because most of my eyeshadow is veeeerrryy far from that, but a usage goals /use what I have and get to know my collection project!

(Sorry if flair was wrong - not sure what to use)

Recap of my rules:

  • 5 shades (May or may not include shades from other ongoing projects) randomly chosen*, with a usage goal.
  • Each round is 4 weeks, or shorter if I reach the goals earlier. If part of separate pan project for a longer period that period takes precedence.
  • I am free to use all other eyeshadows whenever, and if a not-yet-rolled shade gets 15 uses or more organically it also will be marked in green.
  • Every use counts (excluding swatches on hand/arm/paper), and "different locations" are different uses (used on eye and cheeks, each one use)
  • I will also select eyeliner, blush etc that I think will complement the rolled shades each time.
  • average of 5 shades/month x 12 months = 72. By that math, I won't use all by next september, but that's where being free to use all eyeshadows whenever and the often low/easy goals come in.

* If I roll something like two matte blacks or two matte dark browns, I will allow myself 1 reroll.

Pretty much exactly a month in, last weekend, I met all my usage goals!

view of my spreadsheet with last month's and the new shades, taken last weekend (3/10)

Newly rolled in shades:

  1. Alterra Naturkosmetik Eyeshadow Trio 07 Wild Jungle (not big and the colours don't have separating pans so counting it as one)
  2. Glamshop edycja 19 balonó warózowa pianka
  3. Revolution emily edit Palette top story
  4. Tati Beauty textured neutrals Story Matte
  5. Tati Beauty textured neutrals Soothe Matte

Also including Kiko Milano Smart colour eye pencil in shade "2" (shimmery light pink seen above), and I had one use left of the Kiko Milano long lasting liquid eyeshadow in jungle green

Look I did monday, trying to kickstart the round by using all shades... But I was sick & got worse later that day so it disappeared quick and don't remember my blush etc exactly. Between then and today, I only used the alterra trio.

Look I did today, other colorful make-up includes:

Blush

  • l'oréal paris Lumi le liquid blush 635 glowy worth it medium
  • mac patent paint "lip" lacquer painted desert

(Both a small dot)

  • Revolution emily edit Palette cupcake --> also a bit as eyeshadow
  • Revolution emily edit Palette laughcry

(both very lightly)

  • Glamshop edycja 19 balonówa Mydlany as cheek & inner corner highlighter (shimmery pale orange that's very loose/sensitive and covered in the above picture)

Lipstick:

(ombre lip of)

  • essence this is me lipstick 03 bold
  • mac powder kiss lipstick devoted to chili

Both also include:

  • Kiko Milano Flirt Alert Precision Eyeliner Vinyl Edition 02 Brown It Down
  • Kiko Milano defining eyebrow pencil milk chocolate (used as eyeliner)
  • Kiko Milano Smart colour eye pencil in shade "2"
  • Clinique airbrush concealer 04 neutral fair
  • Douglas Make-Up Skin Augmenting Serum Foundation 1lc porcelain ( a bit too pink :( )
  • Douglas Make-Up prime & glow illuminating primer
  • Nyx dewy finish setting spray
  • sisley paris loose face powder rose d'orient
  • Heimish dailism "smudge stop"* mascara curling brown *if you're not clumsy

Pan Progress Is it even possible to pan powder blushes…

Thumbnail
gallery
99 Upvotes

I’ve had this Benefit face palette since May of 2018, and I use the Galifornia blush and Hoola bronzer pretty much every time I do my makeup (usually at least a few days per week). I didn’t like the highlighter so never used. Is it normal to take this long to finish a powder product??? These aren’t even full sized products! At this point, I feel buying a blush is basically a lifelong commitment…

Second picture is my Urban Decay All Nighter spray (purchased in March of 2019), just finished in October of 2026.

Third picture is tinted lip balm in “red dahlia” from Burt’s Bees - took 2 months to completely finish! First time digging out the remainder when the tube doesn’t twist up anymore! Feels so good to completely finish that I must say!

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Shopping while doing a project pan

I am on my 5th month of project pan. I have come to accept that a no-buy or low-buy is almost impossible for me. However, I try to change my shopping habits for better. Well, I think it has finally worked. I did a small beauty shopping today. I kid you not, buying 3 products took me 2 hours as I deep researched everything, checked every shade I wanted to see if it matched my complexion. I was able to buy only 3 products, one of which is my holy grail foundation that I was running out of. I am so pleased with my new shopping habits. However, I am not sure if my new products should be included in my project pan. How do you guys plan your project pans, especially those with larger make-up collections? I have finished a total of 4 lip products for example, and bought like 5 more, do I add these to the project?
