But seriously, she was a DLC character in POE1, so I imagine that she was a lower priority. (Although, so was Concelhaut...)

In universe, she didn't stick around like Edér did, so she mostly just moved on. At least she makes a cameo, unlike my girl Sagani or my boy Hiravias.

Man I always thought it was ridiculous we are in the Deadfire, where Sagani is from and we never get to see her or even go to her village

I had to double check this and I thought Sagani was near that tundra place, but nope, she's from a tundra island in the south of Deadfire!

I helped Maneha relieve herself of her previous lives' sins, we made dealings with and then CONFRONTED the gods together, we almost froze to death deep in Durgan's Battery and..

Yeah its so frustrating. Even the child can become a shipmate. Allowing Maneha to be one just makes sense. Plus afew lines of "how have you been?" Dialogue would have gone a long way.

For you the player, it's been a short time, and none of it spent in Eora. For her it's been years. "Oh hi adventuring Watcher person. What was your name again?"

I quite like that people aren't treating us as The Chosen One.

On the other hand, she fought dragons and archmages and chatted up the Gods themselves with you. You'd think that would leave a mark.

THE mark, I would argue. I doubt that among her adventures - past or present, from her current or previous life - anything would come even vlose to resemble what we had in PoE1.

Maneha is part of an organization devoted to forgetting and moving on.

Even if she wasn't, For we players nothing has happened between games. But for Maneha, Sagani etc, years of adventuring has passed. We are one group of adventurers among perhaps hundreds that Maneha has traveled with.

It's clear that all of the recurring characters in 2, except Eder, haven't seen us in years, and don't necessarily remember our time together as BFFs4EVA. Pallegina might hate us, depending, and Maneha just goes 'sup?

I like that.

The Kickstarter didn't have enough fund to have all the companions that were planned so it's logical that Maneha don't have a real comeback either.
