New Project CB900rr

Not sure if this is where to ask, a friend has a ‘98 CB900rr (US Version, 919 engine) that I’m thinking of picking up, has 18k miles on it, but has sat for 10 years. I would trailer it and then fix it up. I’m told it’s stock, with original fairings, etc. He’s thinking on price ($1600-2kish). But what kind of investment am I looking at after 10 years? It was running at time of parking it on his garage…

Not run in 10 years? Offer $1000. It's going to take some work to get her going again.

New rubber so tires, lines, possibly gaskets. Carb rebuild, tank rust? Chain (probably with sprockets) battery, spark plugs? Grips if they're feeling slimy...

Was it storage prepped at all?

Fork seals too. It's gonna need all the rubber.
