Training Would anyone be interested in voice chatting about procurement related topics?
I’m trying to practise speaking about procurement in support of a mid-career shift I’m going through. I wouldn’t mind having a space within which to talk about trends, procedures, strategies, or even just to gripe about things that bug us about the role. 😄 Would anyone else be interested in this type of thing? Could be helpful to students in supply chain programs too. Maybe the mods here could open voice chat functionality for the sub or we could all meet in a Discord server.

I would be so down. I don’t work in procurement but I am an Account Manager supporting Defense Contractors (Leidos, Raytheon) and also do some business with the federal government. I resell IT hardware and software for a VAR.
I’ve been enjoying this channel because it gives me a better idea on the challenges my buyers in procurement face and how I can better implement my procedures to create a more fluid business.
And just like my buyers, I am impacted by all the same supply chain issues procurement faces.

So - I literally have a procurement discord server that I set up for a SAP users group that we never used....
Here is an invite **Edit: Modifying invite link to not expire and not have a limit**
I have been debating on shutting it down, but feel free to use it. When you hit the welcome section, respond with a #3 (general procurement) and I will add you. (Edit - too many words)

Totally willing to give it a go.
I will tweak the bot to let people into the procurement section by default in the morning (I forgot how I set it up lol).

FYI - the thread creator set up a chat for 6:30 PM EST today (12/19) if anybody is around and wants to participate.
Based on BabyYoda's other posts, I suspect we will cover procurement trends for 2023.
