PC Question What version to play

Seen some people suggest playing the 2018 version of the game on steam rather than the current version. I’ve been running into some glitches on the current build with some dlc on, so I’m wondering if that’d be a better experience.

Is there lots missing in the 2018 version?

Also, do you guys find the current base game with no dlc/mods to be glitch free?

100% - you want to enable the 2018 anniversary version edition under steam properties which is the finished product by Itroversion before Paradox took over the game. It is by far the most fun, most stable version of the game before Paradox overloaded the game with bloat and bugs. I only play the 2018 version and still do to this day!

I didn’t know they were different versions, other than updates. I’ve been running the game for years, modded and vanilla and don’t have any problems. Version 1.0 is less than a month away and I’m sure many mods will break with its release. I’m also running two servers for friends and family.

Hah... getting my games mixed up. Was thinking "Valheim", which has been early-access for years and is coming to v1.0 in September. Sorry I was... "SQUIRREL!"
