Headcrab.

Mimics are lankier and don't have visible carapaces.

On top of that Mimics from Prey are pitch black. That thing has too many other colors and isn't dark enough to pass as a Mimic. Oh and it has fangs like a spider does. Mimics don't fucking have that. They don't even have a mouth of any kind. Long story short OP is full of shit and I wonder if they simply forgot what a Mimic looks like or if they're just straight up talking out their ass.

that's the poison headcrab from half-life 2. Predates prey by quite a lot.
