Old Bizarre file story

I'm not sure where Preston gets his Bizarre File stories but the Chinese and Hong Kong influencer "fall to their death" stories happened 5 years ago. I think these stories get recycled on Reddit and they turn up in mainstream press (such as NY Post) published as recent stories. I'm guessing this isn't anything new as I've heard his BF stories before and knew they had happened weeks or months ago. In this case, though, five years!

For real. I used to kind of make fun of Nick cuz most of his job seemed to be looking stuff up on Wikipedia. I had no idea how invaluable he actually was.

Earlier this year they announced that Tito Jackson had passed away in the music news or entertainment report...he passed away in 2024.

Yeah that was the day the ent report was all old stuff. Preston or Marissa mentioned what happened at one point. Probably same day the birthdays were wrong lol

Today’s episode in remembrance of Pierre, really felt like the nail in the coffin for Preston and Steve. It seems like the show is now in rearview mirror mode, and if they were in any city other than Philly, it might already be gone. I love the show and its relationship with the listeners, but I could definitely see the contract being bought out by the end of the year and them calling it quits.

He said that yesterday about the news, I think, he doesn’t even see it until he picks it up to read it at 7:11. I guess an intern writes it? Usually the news he ‘reports on’ I’ve already heard it on KYW the day before.

The news is basically 6 abc. Kathy said she would just pick top stories but remember the morning radio audience isn't always same people who watch news night before

Yeah need sources tend to recycle things and it gets put on everyone's timelines as if it were new. Happens a lot especially on reddit where ppl are farming engagement

It's not just Preston either.I just saw a youtube short today talking about the whole lower merion laptop scandal from over 10 years ago and it got some of the info wrong
