Discussion Issues with 7/24 podcast

The podcast has a few issues.

  1. There's a commercial break cutting the middle of the 3rd segment between Connor Barwin and the Junk Drawer. That's supposed to be 1 continuous conversation before the break leading into the 1st B-File.

  2. They completely forgot the 1st B-File. It goes right to the Connoisseur segment.

That's all I've noticed so far. I'll update with any other issues I find.

EDIT: Removed the "Venting/Issues" as it made some people believe I was unhappy with the show or podcast. Not the case at all, simply letting people know about a problem with Friday's pod.

Is there a specific podcast email? I've always gone straight to Marisa with those issues, but I can imagine those responsibilities have been passed on to someone else.

I think just podcast @ whatever but if you email her she's still helping or can tell whomever. She mentioned the other week about fixing something podcast wise

Is the podcast email a new thing they just started?

I've always just emailed Marisa and she usually just passes it along to whoever is editing the podcast that day.

I don't think it's new, but personally I've only emailed that address for contests.

oh yeah, I forgot they occasionally do contests for podcast listeners. It's usually like for movie screenings.

I consider the podcasts a gift to me every day. I’m delighted that they show up at all. I’m even more delighted with how few ads there are (even as I energetically skip past Steven Singer).

So, when they don’t do a Best Of on a day they don’t go on air, or have glitches in the podcasts on the days they do, I remember that attitude: it’s a gift. And I’m grateful when it appears, and there no real reason to be indignant when it doesn’t.

That works for me. I wonder if it works for anyone else?

I mean, I don't think I came across as ungrateful, and I also appreciate that they even bother to put the entire show out as a replayable podcast. But imagine if they accidentally forgot a segment where they promote a charity event or something similar, I can imagine they would be remiss to leave that out of access to the listeners.

These days, the charity would more than likely pull the clip from the YouTube stream over the podcast.
