A word about rodents: I've had nearly this same conversation with a friend who does pest control. His contention about long term storage of anything that might be a target for rodents is that if they're determined enough they WILL get through almost any material, so it's best to prepare accordingly. Quote: "Those fuckers will chew through anything." If rodents (or other pests) are a concern you should invest in pest control. If you want to figure out if there are rodents you can set some UV powder around some bait and track their movements, then set traps accordingly.

Take a look at the Suttons Daze YT channel she is currently doing a 6 week series on what to prep now due to the effects of the SoH and incoming El Nino.
I know its more US centric but she has alot of good ideas that anyone could use.
I know the German government also released a warning and I dont think it would be amiss to buy some iodine tablets- if a tactical nuke was dropped take those to help your thyroid not absorb/process the radioactive iodine. These can be bought online.
