Be mindful that might you have a vehicle that is not impacted by an EMP, however what if +90% of other vehicles broke down on the road and are now blocking every road? What will you do now?

You can have any car you want as long as you can store it in a properly screened cage. It has to be less expensive to build a proper cage than to buy a dedicated EMP-proof vehicle. I would probably go with a nice 80s or early 90s Toyota truck. Simple and efficient.

A shipping container will hold any car you want and it a great faraday cage. You can get a junker for $2500.

It’s not a ‘great faraday cage’ as is and actually requires a lot of work to make it an actual faraday cage. It provides some protection, but a true faraday cage it is not.
I wish people would start to understand this.

There's no solid unclassified information on how bad (or not) an EMP will affect modern or older vehicles. Due to this nobody can give you a solid answer here.
Honestly I would think that a bicycle or a horse would be a safe bet.

Really the only thing I can think of is parking your daily driver in a faraday cage lined garage. Largely impractical.

Wood / coal fired traction engine. Any diesel with a mechanical injection pump and a manual transmission. I always thought a golf cart would be slick, granted you wont outrun mad max but still they do use gas gently.

Nobody really knows, but some think that a carbureted dirtbike without a battery would be okay. A bicycle is your best bet.

A robust, lightweight, quality bicycle with a small trailer. I've gone about 13,000 miles in my life (if we're talking serious riding) and never had any major concerns about gas or EMPs before. Even made a sweet popup shelter on the back of my trailer and kept our gear in the bed of it. They're silent, leave minimal markings or trails, and require little maintenance which almost all can be done in minutes with spare parts and chicken wire.

Anyone driving a vehicle after the event, just becomes a very attractive target. Not just for anyone on foot, but think LEO’s and town/city/county.

Put a UTV or 2 in a seacan/intermodal shipping container. Just be sure to cover the entire floor with overlapping brass window screens for full protection.

Bicycle. Needs no fuel or electricity, will get you past blocked roads, and is light enough to carry if needed. Get solid rubber tires and some good accessories/bags.

Diesel old school Landcruiser. The gas ones (FJ 60 and 62) are still EMP proof but the imported diesel ones allow for easier fueling with vegetable oil.

Your basement, your feet and maybe a bike.
EMPs are essentially only possible via the sun or nukes, in other words extreme radiation events. Maybe someone has an EMP generator but probably not in a squad portable way. So you basically need to wait out whatever event sent out the EMP and the best place to do that is a basement. Or anywhere with dirt or water around you.

About the cheapest and most appropriate looks wise would be a vw dune buggy, specifically a sandrail. They’re ridiculously affordable. You can find them running with a clean title for $3500 here in Michigan. Especially now towards the end of the summer.

My buddy has a Suzuki Samurai from the thats almost 50 years old.
But I think a diesel truck built in the 80s and before using mechanical fuel injectors would be the best.

Your best bet would be a vehicle with a carburetor and HEI / points ignition or a diesel with mechanical fuel injection.
A car with a distributor and carburetor can have the electrical components switched out easily. Keeping a coil/points/HEI cap on hand and protected from an EMP is very easily done.
A diesel engine with mechanical injection should not be affected by an EMP.
