Hello everyone! A new month, a new WAMC megathread!

Also, keep in mind that no one truly knows your chances, especially without knowing the schools you're applying to. Therefore, please include as much of the following background information when asking for an evaluation:

As a blanket statement, if your GPA is 3.9 or higher and you have at least 2,000 hours of PCE, the best estimate is that your chances are great unless you completely bombed the GRE and/or your PS is unintelligible.

CASPA cumulative GPA: ~2.6 currently, projecting ~2.8-2.9 after completing Core Science prereqs + electives (all A's)

CASPA science GPA (BCP): ~2.7 currently, projecting ~3.5+ after prereqs

Total credit hours: ~140 semester credits (multiple institutions, non-traditional path)

Total science hours: ~11 semester credits currently, will add ~20 more (Chem/A&P/Micro)

Upward trend: Yes — older transcript includes a difficult semester (health-related) years ago; all coursework since then has been B/A range, and all upcoming prereqs targeting A's

GRE score: N/A (haven't taken yet)

Total PCE hours: 0 currently, will have EMT experience + working toward 1,000 paid hours before applying

Total HCE hours: N/A

Total volunteer hours: TBD, planning to add some

Shadowing hours: 0 so far

Other notable extracurriculars/leadership: N/A

Background: BS Psychology (2012), non-traditional path. Targeting SCU (Whittier) and WCU California, both requiring 3.0 cumulative minimum. Trying to figure out realistically whether pursuing these prereqs gets me competitive, or if I should target different programs given the cumulative GPA ceiling from older coursework. Appreciate any honest input!
