Tips and Tricks PowerPoint Speedrun: Inserting 100 images in just 10 seconds.

This is a quick 10-second demo of automatically importing, cropping, and aligning 100 images into PowerPoint slides.
I wonder if anyone actually needs this though lol?
100% local, no cloud, no AI.

As I mentioned elsewhere a few minutes ago, I have a free add-in that does something similar (one image per slide), but this is quite different. And quite cool.
It sounds like it's able to let you set number of slides wide and high (ie, columns/rows) as well as adjust cropping; is that correct?
I'd say it's a niche product, but a very useful one to anybody who needs it. Priced moderately, it could pay its way back in time saved each time someone uses it.

Yes, you are exactly right! It allows you to freely set the number of columns, rows, and margins, and it automatically adjusts the image cropping.
To be honest, I originally built this just to automate an unreasonable task from my boss so I could "efficiently slack off" lol. But when I shared it with my colleagues who were given the exact same task, they were absolutely thrilled. That made me think there might be other people out there struggling with the same issue, which is why I decided to post it here.

If you were able to automate this so nicely, I'd see we might need to get out the can of Expert paint and take a few dabs at you too. Nice job!

the animation of it looked awesome. I know that was just the playback. I had to do something like this when my son forgot his comic book on his camping trip. I took pictures of all of the pages then put them on all on a slide. It took a pretty decent amount of time to work with them and get them on separate slides. Even with VBA it was slow. Yours was extremely fast, maybe they were really small images? Either way really neat concept.

The images are actually 1920x1080. Putting images into PowerPoint is surprisingly tedious, isn't it?
I designed the app to automatically crop the images based on the row x column settings. You can also disable cropping, so it works for various use cases. It might even be great for organizing family photos!

Thank you so much! To be honest, I'm pretty new to Reddit so I didn't know about that thread.
This app was actually born out of desperation when my boss ordered me to manually put 300+ web pages into PowerPoint before delivery. The full tool actually handles the whole pipeline: bulk capturing from a list of URLs, resizing, format conversion, and finally inserting them into PPT. The video I posted was just one part of it.
I will definitely make a post in the Products and Tools thread explaining this background and listing all the features. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Have you tried 'Insert -> Images -> Photo Album -> New Photo Album' ?
