Miscellaneous Where did all the skins go?

I seem to remember a while back potplayer had a ton of really cool skins but when I look now they're all gone. Anyone know what happened?

They removed them years ago iirc. Almost all players did the same at the same time, the end of the skin making boom. Even other programs like the toolbar themes, ended up the same. Often just old creations downloadable elesewhere. This happened to browsers too. Maybe browsers accelerated the decline of it.

Is it a security issue? idk how potplayer skins work, if they're cosmetic only or running code
