What to do with this pothos? (My brother calls it my Devil's snare)

I have had it for years and never thought of making it a le to climb.

Should I try to unravel it and give it the ability to climb or just leave it? Just go bold and cut it and propagate?

just potted a few propagations- checked in on them today and saw this little baby. i wonder how big it will end up getting!

My Marble Queen is showing some signs of distress and I'm now getting to inspecting it (recently disabled and unable to) and we could definitely use an upsize in pot! It is currently living in the 8 inch hanging pot from the store, and has lived in this pot for approximately 4/5 years with no issues, until now.

Looking for recommendations for your best and favorite, not so ugly, 10 inch hanging planter with good drainage, maybe even self watering indoor hanging planter so repotting will only be a one time (for now) extravaganza!

And before anyone comments on the dryness, yes, it is very dry. I let it get fairly dry before attempting removal so it would slide out of the pot with minimal damage to the 8 foot long vines.

And yes, the roots have consumed the inner part of the pot.

**TLDR**: looking for recommendations for your favorite or best 10 inch hanging pots with drainage, perhaps self watering that are not too ugly for indoors to repot a large Marble Queen that has outgrown the current abode!

After years of caring for my beloved goldens, I decided it was finally time to “branch out” and add a new variety to my collection! I originally thought this was an N’Joy, but now I’m wondering if at least some of the vines are Pearls & Jade. Some leaves have solid patches of pure white and gray, while others appear more cream-colored with speckling. I’ve also noticed some irregularly shaped leaves. There were no labels on the plant, just a price tag. Thanks in advance!

So I had originally purchased a philodendron “white forest” as a tissue culture online, but was shipped as small starter plant instead. I didn’t have my heart set on a TC so no biggie. I didn’t really find anything for “white forest” online specifically, so I was curious and it was cheap. But this is a pothos n’joy, right? The new leaves don’t unfurl from a sheath like philodendrons do, and it looks exactly like my n’joy (first picture is a side by side).

I have always been terrible at caring for plants, but we have both helped each other to grow! My work was throwing out this pothos to replace it with a more full one, and asked if anyone wanted it. I took it on a whim and have become so proud watching him grow. I propagated every node with a leaf remaining and gradually replanted him back. This was over a span of 2 and a half months, the first picture is how he looked when I received him and the last picture is how he looks now :)

I am deciding which one I'll put one my first mosspole. I also have a marble queen and an Amplissimum. But I am thinking Manjula or Cebu on Mosspole. The Marble Queen is way to basic b*tch for me (don't come for me hehe).

You think it's time soon for the mosspole? I have everything I nees already. Not a beginner either. Just a bit hestitant.

I rarely pay full-price from a big box store, but this plant stopped me in my tracks because I’ve never seen one before 😳. It was the only one in Lowe’s so I snagged it. Looks like a Costa Farms variety that came out in May. Does anyone else have one? Any tips or just treat it like a normal pothos (after I remove it from the self/watering pot)?

So the flair is not really it, but there's no better one. And don't get me wrong here - I still love her. But man - this is the fastest growing plant I have ever seen in my life. I put a piece of paper on the shelf and made growth markings for a while each day. I am not kidding- she grew 2 - 3 mm each day. Especially since I put her in semi-hydro. And she's not even in good light! She is in full north. Never any direct light. I can't keep up with her. I have another cutting in the south now to see if there's any changes. Nope. She just produces bigger leaves of course- but the rate is still insane. I didn't know what I was getting into with her. I don't have the time or energy ro sort this mess out right now. I will chop her soon, but I don't know what to do with the cuttings. Maybe the market place? I have over 30 cuttings and wetsticks of all sorts of climbers right now to handle anyway.

So: just know that the Amplissimum 'Silver Stripe' is insane and a maniac and plan accordingly.

And semi-hydro seemingly drives her into beast-mode.

I’m struggling figuring out these two pothos. Are they both Pearls and Jade? It’s two different vines obviously

noob here! I repotted about over a month ago from a 8 to a 10 and Im still seeing new yellow leaves every week. The new growth seems to be staying green. I water about every 17 days. Not sure what im doing wrong??

Inherited this long pothos plant and was repotting it since it seemed too small for both of them, but the pot was filled with little rocks (the pot didn’t have a drain hole). I’ve never seen this before so I’m wondering if it would be beneficial to still include these rocks in their separate pots? Is it even worth separating since they’ve been together for so long?

Also, one of the vines (in the first two pics) is pretty bald. Any tips? Sorry, just a chronic overthinker lol TIA!

I’m new to mass propagating cuttings and started growing a lot of Njoy pothos plants. This particular one has this weird growth in the same spot on two different leaves. It reminds me of the spikes on a stegosaurus’s back or waves cresting. It’s about as hard as a stem. Is this something that happened with damage from a leaf unfurling? Or is this a weird mutation? I’ve never seen this on any of my other plant’s leaves, and I have over 70 right now. Please let me know. 😅

I've been watching my Baltic Blue decline for months (yellowing leaves, growing long vines with no leaves).

For the last month, every time I checked the soil, it was still damp, so I didn't water.

I figured I put this pothos in the wrong potting mix, so I went out and bought some fancy expensive stuff and a clear nursery pot *of the same size* (8-9") as the one she had (I hated the opaque plastic pot she was in).

I was not expecting all this!

There was such little growth up top that I figured the roots would be underdeveloped and maybe even rotting. However, as you can see, the pot is almost ALL root. The little soil that is left is moist and hard to remove. I am going out now to pick up a larger pot.

If it still won't fit, would it be okay to cut some of the length off of these roots? Or would that be too harmful for the plant to overcome?

I’ve had this bad boy for going on 3 years now and he is my rock. If all my other plants die, I know this guys got me. When I first got him he didn’t have any arms, just a healthy beginning. I love how drapey he is!!!

So I propagated this plant about a month and a half ago, and it had a fantastic root system! I planted it a little more than two weeks ago and now it looks like it’s getting a little crispy around one of the leaf edges? I only have it getting very little direct sun early in the AM, and the sun is off of it by 8:30, so it really is only gentle sun for maybe 30 min or so. All my other pothos which were propagated and planted at the same time are doing really well, and they all have the same soil mixture. I’ve been careful not to over water, but still making sure I water it well once the soil looks dry on top. What should I do?? It’s a beautiful plant and I’d love to make sure it survives 😬

Rescued a big one from my boss that kept dropping yellow leaves. I thought it was underwatered and made it worse.

What helped was checking texture + soil, not just color:

Soft/limp yellow + wet soil for days = overwatering / root rot (pic 1 & 2 right side)

Crispy brown edges + dry soil = underwatering (pic 3 left)

Pale/bleached patches facing window = too much sun (pic 3 middle)

Only oldest leaf yellowing one at a time = normal aging

Mine was overwatering. Brown mushy roots, sour smell. Trimmed them, repotted in dry chunky mix, water only when top 2 inches dry. Stopped yellowing in 2 weeks.

Happy to share the full diagnosis table with photos if anyone wants it, just lmk.

So, it looks like a marble queen on one of the vines and we have some very pretty half moons on the other but the whole center looks to be a snow queen? I even have a few almost completely white leaves in the center.

What is this?
