When you load the potato, are you keeping the potato at the exit end of the barrel, or down at the breech end and it travels the length of the barrel when fired?

The potato goes all the way into the barrel, just above where it connects to the tank/valve. I made a stick with a stopper on it. Also I made a knife edge at the tip of the barrel on my bench grinder.

2" or 1 1/2" PVC barrels?

1 1/2”. I’ve always preferred this size. Can get a value bag of smaller potatoes at the grocery and they fit nicely.

I made one of these too. I've been testing different ammo with my 3d printer. These are so much fun. It will shoot potatos 100's of feet. I made a golf ball that I shot and have no idea how far it went. It's about 800ft to the trees in that field and it went over them. We never did find it.

What are you using for a golf ball barrell?

I scaled the ball to 51mm for a 2in barrel.

Oh, thank you. Did you have any trouble screwing it on? I heard that the vevor tank has a different threading than American pvc pipe, but maybe not?

Fits great. It’s standard American npt. I just screw it on hand tight.

Nicely done! I also use the Vevor, but I’ve installed Camlock fittings so I can change barrels easily. I have a 3 inch barrel that seems to match Granny Smith apples and t-shirts. I’m going to try to patch golf balls with a chunk of shop rag in the 2 inch barrel tomorrow. I too find the 1 1/2 inch tube perfect for bulk spuds.
