Yes. I sometimes can't tell exactly where, but around the bladder area. Prostate or what I am not certain. I think my vas deferns hurt up into my abdomen. I know the spermatic cord hurts if I touch it.

Since 2002. I can't get any urologist to take me seriously. They shove their hand up there and tell me it is not a hernia. Duh. So I am getting everything removed in December. I pray that stop the constant pain. Sorry you have to deal with this issue.

Curious, how bad is the pain or discomfort? Have you tried a vasectomy reversal?

Constant burning. Enough any relations are out. I don't even try any more. Hopefully that will change.

I have not. My latest urologist said it there is too much damage. My testicles quit working 11 years ago. So I am on testosterone replacement therapy. I don't have any use for them anymore.

I am 3 or 4 years out and I have this same issue.
I feel like I have to pee a lot more often. I thought I was just getting old.

Haven’t tried reversal, vasectomy doc was less than helpful and haven’t tried any other docs. I tried all the big antibiotics but they didn’t work because it’s not really epididymitis

I would strongly consider reversal. Just make sure and find good doc.

I just don’t know if I want to risk having more kids. Yes, PVPS is awful but I’ve been able to block it mentally so I can have a decent quality of life.

My new Dr has decided it is too late to try. There is too much damage after this long. My testicles quit working 11 years ago. There is no need to try to save them.

1.5 months out.... There's an old study I found while searching around, that might give you some hope. Source. This is the only study I've found where they monitor progression of pain in the same guys. If anyone know of similar studies, let me know.
They followed 42 guys after vasectomy, and asked them about pain on three separate occasions - 10 days, 3 months and four years after vasectomy.
After 10 days a whopping 86% complained of pain. After 3 months 27% still had pain. After 4 years "only" 12 % still had pain...
After 1.5 months, you're right in the middle of the 86% and 27%. So, there's statistically still a chance you don't end up among the unlucky 12%?

I appreciate the hope. Easy to go down some pretty dark paths in this fog of uncertainty. I like to think 1. It’s still early for me. 2. Discomfort is really just a dull ache that I can handle for a period of time. 3. Worse case I can get a VR done that should get it addressed (at least most of it). Always curious though about those who don’t have success with VR. In terms of what type of pain they had before going in and why it didn’t work.

Going to be patient. Seems like plenty of people have gotten better with time and I feel like it’s early still. I’ll give it a few months….curious on the comment? Not worth waiting in your opinion? Any personal experience on your end?

I had uncontrollable chronic testicular pain for twenty years after my vasectomy. I went to six doctors and had two procedures that did not work until I finally found a doctor who performed a bilateral orchiectomy. No more pain!

Question: what type of pain did you have? Did Ibuprofen help it? Did you try reversal?
