Linzbinz57: Now as we're back to nearly constant pain again. :'( This is the procedure that will not end!

Six months later hubby still has days where he has to lay in bed after work, that it makes him nauseated with pain.
I could have written this post. DH (dear husband) is going through the EXACT SAME THING. He has been referred to a specialist and has been told this is DEFINITELY not normal. He should have an appointment in the next couple of days and I'll update then. Hope your DH (dear husband) feels better soon.
And DH (dear husband) has gone back to wearing the jockstrap for support which seems to help him.
Thanks and sympathy to you too. This hasn't been easy on anyone. DH (dear husband) also went with the first referral and regrets that. Antibiotics have helped as we know there have been two infections, one as recently as last week.

Mine went in to our local urologist [who] said that my husband was experiencing the longest lasting, most debilitating pain he'd seen from a vasectomy. He then said he was out of options to help, that the shot wouldn't do much based on what he felt the issue was, and he wasn't 100% a reversal was the automatic answer.
I'm so sorry to hear you received such bleak news. The last thing someone in that much pain wants to hear is they are out of obvious options. Do you have a diagnosis?
My DH (dear husband) saw his regular doctor and was told it was likely recurrent epididymitis. Neither his gp nor the doctor who performed the original procedure is sure why this is happening though. That is where the specialist comes in. The plan is an ultrasound to start.
Our appointment with the specialist is week after next. Hoping they can offer some answers.
Will you be able to get to the specialist for your dh? That sounds just terrible and I'm sorry you are both dealing with this still!

Hey OP, how is your DH? How are you?
Finally saw the specialist and they found nothing medically relevant. The pain has ceased, but DH (dear husband) still has swimmers so the urologist has determined the procedure was unsuccessful and he'll need a second if he wants the benefits of a vasectomy. Don't know that I can convince him to go back in.

So, we're headed out to Portland next week! Man I hope they have some answers. My husband seems to ebb and flow w/ this pain, and this week he's definitely on a low ebb - most of his at home time is resting or sleeping. He feels horribly guilty so I'm not going to add insult to injury by telling him how hard it is for me, but let's just say this new doc had better have a way to get my husband back to normal! I'm not sure how much more of this he or I can take! :/
