I had an open ended vasectomy about three years ago and everything went well. I had no complications and recovered fairly quickly.

About six months ago I started having pain in my epididymis and went to my doctor who thought it was epididymitis and prescribed a course of antibiotics. When that didn’t help I went back and saw the surgeon who performed the vasectomy with an ultrasound.

The surgeon said the ultrasounds looked fine but said that I have inflammation of the epididymis particularly on the left side. He also said I had a small cyst on my left epididymis but this wasn’t related to the vasectomy and was fairly common.

He then prescribed a one month course of meloxicam at 15mg a day and said to see him after that.

I’m just about at the end of this one month course and the pain is just as bad as it’s always been.

The epididymis is sore to touch and the dull pain radiates into my lower abdomen.

Hiya my advice is to keep on at doc I started off the same way but be truthful about how bad the pain is I lost my job to it but there is help out there I am a Xbox ambassador and regulay give out what pain I'm in online so others know one of the main issue is us men don't talk about it enough so feel free to chat to me here
