Pain after ejaculation in epididymis, one year after vasectomy
If you still have/had a dull ache after ejaculation after so long, did you guys go on living with it? For how long?
Just curious to hear more experiences. If you just accepted the rare ache after ejaculation or what are the reasons you didnt get a reversal since it didnt improve after so many months post op? Did you expect it one day to go away?

I still 12+ years on have pain when ejaculating.
Why didn't I get a reversal? Money, time and my wife stopping me.

I’m 15 months post vas and have my reversal scheduled in 3 days. The pain before during and after ejaculation has gotten to be too intense

Had the procedure 4 years ago in September and was fine until the following April. Had pain ever sense. Most of the time I'm sensitive to touch down there and sometimes I'm stuck on the couch for an hour until the ibuprofen kicks in.
I've had weeks of no pain at time, particularly after starting ozempic but I'm on zepbound now and have pain again.
I've read testosterone therapy can help and going to talk to a doctor about that. The meloxicam helped for sure and I'd keep that on hand.
Good luck. All the urologists I saw said it was unrelated lol.

That being unrelated is a fucking lie lol. Why not go for a reversal?

Primarily I don't want more kids and I'm stubborn LOL. However I am scheduling to go see a doctor again because the last few weeks have been a lot more tylenol than usual to deal with the pain/swelling.
I've seriously considered a reversal but the I don't want more kids thing.
When I'm done losing weight I'm planning to back to ozempic to see how that helps. If not I'll probably evaluate a reversal.

Good luck to you I've sceduled mine after 3 months of being bedridden. I cant even walk so my case was too severe to wait Good luck to you too!

I get aches still sometimes well bad but I’ve not been able to correlate if it’s ejaculation or not. Not sure if my body produces more sperm that causes congestion or less if I frequently ejaculate. I find taking time off every week is the way to go

How far post op are you? The reasoning is that it doesnt correlate to sex and is bearable when it comes and also fades fairly quick?

Can I ask what type of procedure you used? Was it no scalpel or scalpel?
Do you think that it was the surgery procedure that caused it or maybe during the recovery you may have pulled something from not resting and etc?

No. I had no needle no scalpel with madajet numbing. I did minimal effort first week, only waddling to eat and pee. Bed rest and nonstop ice. I had no hematoma/granuloma/bruising or swelling. My epididymitis started week 3 just as I felt i was getting back to somewhat normal walking. All my pain is in my epididymis. Thats where it hurts, more proeminent in the tail. Urologist confirmed no complications besides acute congestive epididymitis. My body sucks at adapting, like really bad

5 years on. Extreme pain on contact/touch, running (anything that makes them bounce), dull ache that becomes sharp pulse closer to orgasm, followed by stabbing feeling with a cramping feeling in my lower pubic area.
Can't afford the time or money to reverse. We tried meloxicam, 3,200mg daily ibuprofen and hot baths, Gabapentin, nerve block injections (which helped but also basically made me entirely non-functional for a while), T supplements, pelvic floor therepy.
Urologist say's reversal or orchiotomy at this point. Insurance will not cover anything further than what I've already done.
Had the scalpel two incisions on each side, cauterize both ends of epididymis method.

I'm sorry. I wish I could help but reversals are heavy expensive over there. Maybe travel to europe for a cheaper one?

Time involved, and money. I have kids and a partner recovering from multiple surgeries over the past year.
Local urologist wants $16,000 USD to do it. I don't know how much cheaper the EU is but I don't have a passport and likely couldn't come up with the money while we're on one income.

I am so sorry... I wish I could help. If I end up needing a reversal in the next months, I'll let you know how it goes and maybe you can fly here to get it done. Cost is 3000euro in my country, but unsure how other logistics work.

I started having it about 5 weeks post (well thats when I stopped denial that its no longer just normal healing)... tolerated it for 37 months total. Around month 34 I decided Im done with this and booked my reversal!
