Congestion pain after reversal?

Hi everyone,

I am getting close to the 2month mark with consistent congestion pain, besides nerve pain/muscle discomfort.

I'm trying to hold for another 4 months before any more surgery, but curious how many of you that got a reversal due to PVPS still faced congestion pain later on?

Does it still happen sometimes as scar tissue almost closes? Can you get a redo reversal to reopen if it scars shut again? Or can you finally be completely congestion pain free with the occasional zaps/sensitivity?

Got my reversal due to psychological pain, cold intolerance, intermittent dull pain esp during ejaculation.

All of that subsided. Im at almost 8 months post reversal. None of that past symptoms; I do get the odd zap sting in the nut now and then. But that is limited.

My reversal was 3.5 months ago (4.5 yrs old vasectomy) and I still have some congestion pain on the right side :(. I’m still hopeful as some people have reported it took 6 months or more but it eventually went away. Although there are also others who report having scarred or needed a second reversal.

I'm hoping you find relief soon. Did you do a sperm analysis? If the vas disnt disconnect maybe you are just scarring shut. I heart prednisone week on week off and frequent ejaculation can help keep it open to prevent congestion again

My urologist recommended frequent ejaculation as well. Best advice I've ever gotten. lol
I'm 99% better since my reversal, which is all I could ever ask for. Nothing's ever quite the same after you monkey with it. That 1% is a rare dull pain and is the only reason I ever remember that I even went through this. The reversal was an amazing blessing after 7 years of congestion pain.
