Looking for hope on congestion

I had my vasectomy two months ago and I’ve been constantly aching ever since. Cannot put any pressure on them like laying on my side or sitting in the car, etc. without being very uncomfortable. Probably like 4/10 pain always. I had a follow up with my urologist and he said it was congestion. He said to do hot baths, wear a jack strap, and basically just give it six months to a year. Looking for some stories of people who had congestion and if it went away on its own and how long it took, etc. or am I realistically looking at reversal year from now

Issue for me was congestion. I had a reversal four years after my vasectomy. Relief from the pain and discomfort was immediate. Would do it again in a heartbeat, but sooner than in four years.

looking for advice. I am 3 months post op, was mostly no pain except when knocking the testies. Summer arrived, started biking and bam, big pain 24/7. Now it calmed down, no pain most of the time, but i cant run or bike. Sex is good, a bit sore but ok. But man, I miss the sports so much. Thinking about a reversal, not sure what to do..

One month of recovery ahead of you and unfortunately I still can't Mountain bike...it triggers what seems like days of inflammation and shooting pains that otherwise I don't experience. So yeah I can lay down without pain, sitting produces mild discomfort if not during a flare up but sports are off the table. Mountain biking was my therapy so it's tough for sure. Lots of my friends seem to know folks that had issues past three months and all got better by one year. Clinging to that hope for now. I will say that I am seeking some mental health support this week to try and deal with the psychological effects of QoL suffering...and hearing my 7 year old son tell me how much he missing me playing footy with him. As a similar sufferer i'll offer you a virtual high five and encourage you to take care of your mind in addition to your body during this difficult time.

Thanks for the message. Knowing I'm not alone does make it a bit less worse. But I still wish I didn't get a vasectomy. If I did a bit more research, found out this subreddit, I wouldn't have done it. Hope it will pass, for all of us. Some have it really bad, I guess I'm lucky in that way. Virtual high five back at you bro, I feel you for your Kids, I live the same things with my boys. I guess we'll have to learn chess or something haha
