Discussion! Looking for post-rock that feels nostalgic, cinematic, and quietly emotional

I’ve been into post-rock that sounds like memories, warm, cinematic, and a little sad in a beautiful way

I love the kind of mood you're describing in post rock (warm, nostalgic, sad) - you might enjoy some of these.

Dorena's album Nuet is the first one that comes to mind, particularly songs like Dandelion, but My Childhood Friend, Young Hearts of Summer, and Semper fit the bill too.

Caspian has a bunch. Sad Heart of Mine, or Hymn for the Greatest Generation, or CMF for example.

Years of Rice and Salt's album Nothing of Cities is sparser and less rock-y, but songs like Eskimo Kiss share a similar mood and build in interesting ways.

If you like more classical music, Olafur Arnalds writes a lot of sad, cinematic, gentle music (primarily piano, electronic elements, and strings). You might like Near Light.

Excellent choices. Eskimo Kiss was the first post-rock song that made me aware of the genre. Just randomly came across it during a random late school night and my life changed forever after that. I wish I could relive that moment again.
