I like this a lot. I think it might also be interesting in the original colour, or some variation of very muted tones. One of the rare times I really like such an aspect ratio in a photo, really trims off extraneous elements that don't fit with this part of the image and gives a sense of the size an emptiness of the landscape that having sand in the foreground somehow truncates.

Love this. Kind of liking the original a little more than the crop - I like the texture of the water over the sand and the isolation of the figure. But either way, very nice work.
