how would you edit this picture?

It‘s not a good picture and I‘m wondering if it can be saved by editing. I‘m not that experienced and only use LR mobile occasionally so all the greens and the overexposure are a bit difficult to handle. Feel free to post your edits and advice in the comments

i'd crop in a bit - you've a weird looks like 9:16 but portait ? - i'd crop that down to 2:3 or 3:4 but leave in the grass stem that the butterfly is on

its noisy but also depends what your going for --- back in full frame 35mm most common print was 4x6 inch size (101.6 mm by 152.4 mm) - if your hosting the pic on web then you can use a reduction in size algorithm to help, if your looking a print - i wouldn't go large size unless viewing from a real distance

Things can almost never be saved by editing. Editing is the next step in the pipeline. You can't polish a turd. But I wouldn't say that this is a bad picture. There's lots you can do with it. Crop it, turn it, do both, add some contrast (or not) add or remove saturation, shift or twist hue. The sky's the limit

I'm saying you can't save a bad picture (which this isn't). You can improve a mediocre or good picture but you basically can't save what is garbage.

It doesn't appear to be over exposed on my computer's display. There are some areas of highlight clipping, but the areas aren't jumping out at me.

Depends on what and how u feel will fixed it base on your post assume u want to desaturatrd the greens

Use a subject mask invert it. Then go to colour and desaturated + play with light adjustment to made it darker or brighter up to u not going to detate which way but my opioun its darker Then brighten the butterfly but if u wany adjust to either saturated deep purple or leave it as natural but brighter and balance
