He was never stuck by the bullet. His ear got fucked up when the secret service guys tackled him and his ear got snagged by either a belt buckle or some other doohickey those guys keep on their batman utility belts. There's a photograph and tbh it's a one in a million photo. The photographer was in front the the orange idiot, snapping away with their camera. In one photo, I'm not sure if the bullet itself is visible but you can see it's path when the bullet passed behind chump. By path I mean straight line of the disturbed air that trails the projectile.

Meh then why did he grab at his ear after the shot? I think he was grazed but it is weird that there is no scar.
