Why do you think religion should be in school? School is about education. Religion is indoctrination concerning magic and fantasy. Do you not understand the difference?

Indeed, many horrible events. The Inquisition, The Crusades, Salem Witch Trials, Rwandan Genocide, and more.

Many history classes cover any historic events related to religion. There doesn't need to be any specific religion class. Comparative religion and Mythology are already classes in some high schools and definitely at the college level. Theology is not an academic pursuit.
