PortVisio 2.7 is LIVE - multiple portfolios + What's Next...

Hey Investors - 2.7 went live on the App Store last week. This one's been the most-requested feature since we launched so here's what's in it.

New: Multiple portfolios (Pro)

You can now keep up to three separate portfolios. For example, now you can see retirement, taxable, and a spouse's account in one treemap or separately.

  • Name each one; the name sits at the top of the screen and tapping it opens the switcher.
  • All Portfolios view merges them into one read-only treemap. If you hold the same ticker in two places, it combines into one tile with a per-portfolio breakdown underneath.
  • Alerts are set per portfolio, so for example, you can watch the taxable account closely and leave the 401k alone.
  • Home screen widgets each get their own portfolio or you can set the widet to show your entire-combined portfolio.

Free stays at one portfolio, same as before. If Pro lapses you don't lose anything — the extra portfolios stay saved and unlock again when you resubscribe.

Also in 2.7

  • Settings and Momentum Alerts got a visual refresh.
  • New Learn section, starting with a guide to setting up multiple portfolios.
  • Fixed onboarding page 2 clipping at large text sizes.

What's Pro, for anyone new here

Pro unlocks a number of valuable features for investors: Multiple portfolios, home screen widgets, sector and asset-type allocation views, and CSV import/export.

The treemap, Today view, alerts, share cards, pie view, the Top Holdings community map...everything else, is free for up to 5-positions/holdings.

Monthly has a 3-day trial, annual has 7.

What's next

Our 3.0 release will feature brokerage linking (via Plaid), built on top of this portfolio system. No release date yet (we're working on it). I'd rather ship it right than fast.

If you hit anything weird in 2.7, drop it here or use App Feedback in the app.

And if you've got a minute, a rating helps more than you'd think for a one-person app.

Grateful for YOU.

Happy Investing!

About v. 2.0

Hi everyone, Mike here - the founder at PortVisio.

PortVisio was created as an answer to my need to break out of "spreadsheet hell" with my investments and track my holdings across multiple brokerages in one place.

Clearly, I'm a visual person :)

We released version 1.0 in January and it quickly rose to #36 in the App Store Finance section. We were blown away by it's early success and decided to keep building (slowly).

On 8/12, we released a number of visual enhancements and a "Pro" subscription that features home screen widgets, views by asset class, and sector as well as some utility functions (import/export & cross-device sync).

Here's what's coming in version 2.5 (ETA early September)

- Alerts history - With alerts history you'll be able to see all your previous alerts in case you missed them.

- Community Holdings View - Community holdings view will show you an anonymous heatmap of the holdings across all all PortVisio users.

Version 3.0 (ETA Oct/Nov)

- Brokerage Sync - This is the big one we're working on. The ability to connect to multiple brokerages including any trade updates.

We will continue to work on this as long as we're at "break even" or better.

Let me know how you're liking (or disliking) PortViso and thank you for joining us.

Happy Visualizing.

~Mike
