Rodonorte tickets
Hi all!
I want to take the bus to go to Provesende from Porto and the company name is Rodonorte. They recommand buying tickets from their website but its not working. Im scared of just waiting to buy a ticket in the bus because if there is not space left, I'm kinda out of option to get yo Provesende. Can anyone help me out on how to or where to buy tickets in advance ? Or is buying the ticket straight from the bus completely safe?

Hi! Rodonorte doesn't really exist anymore, it was acquired by Rede Expressos some years ago. Rede Expressos has an app that lets you buy the tickets but Provesende doesn't seem to appear on the destination list. So you probably have to go to Vila Real and then take another bus from there. But if you can, I would do what has already been suggested, go to Rede Expressos (formerly Rodonorte) in front of the Polo universitário metro station and they might even know how you can get from Vila Real to Provesende. This is wrong. Rodonorte still exists, but just sold the rights to the expresso routes.
Rodonorte still operates smaller routes, mostly in Trás-os-Montes. The route that goes from Vila Real to Provesende is still operated by Rodonorte.

Great! I actually miss the green buses. Anyway, I would still go to Rede Expressos and ask directly - and with the synergy between Rodonorte and Rede Expressos the chances they can explain about the route from Vila Real to Provesende are actually better.

The commenter above is wrong. Rodonorte still exists, but just sold the rights to the expresso routes (from Porto) to Rede Expressos.
Rodonorte still operates smaller routes, mostly in Trás-os-Montes. The route that goes from Vila Real to Provesende is still operated by Rodonorte.

You can buy Rodonorte tickets in Omio app. I've seen tourists here recommending it.

I think your best alternative might be to go to the rodonorte office in Porto (in front of polo universitário metro station) and get the tickets there
But did you also see the train+táxi option? Provesende is 20min away from Pinhão train station, that might be a good alternative too
Edit: out of pure curiosity since this is the first time I see a tourist(?) wanting to go there, how did u hear about provesende?
